Randy: Hey guys, Randy here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at a very quick and easy way to really update your RV. Modernizing RVs is something very popular. There's light fixtures, there's handles, there's new faucets, new stoves, microwaves. There's lots of things out there that we can use to take an RV, kind of like this one that's a little bit older and bring it up to date.One of them's going to be a square handle, here you can see, from Gustafson. Basically, it's going to be a very nice-looking modern-style handle.
It works with 3" centers. So it's a very common spacing, 3" from the center of this one to the center of that one. And compared to the older one that we took off, this one gives us a lot of nice detail. See, it's kind of inset here in the middle. Certainly looks a lot better than what that old, basically '90s style pull did.Now the replacement process is super quick and super easy.
You can see it's just two screws there. You're going to take out, once you have them out, you're just going to reuse those, right into this one. And it bolts up nicely, gives you a great pull. The overall external dimensions are going to be right at 4" there. You can all it 3 15/16".
It's going to stick out about 1" or just a hair under 1". And it's going to be right at 1/2" wide. It's got good depth, plenty of room there to get a hold of it, get it open and closed. And I think this would be a great way to update your RV for sure.Now as far as the replacement process, of course, we need to get our old handle removed. And this is also where you're going to check to make sure that you have the 3" centers.
So once you open that, you look on the backside. So we've got a screw here and a screw here. We just want to make sure that those are on 3" centers, and this is going to be a great replacement. At that point, just going to use our Phillips screwdriver. Most of these are Phillips, I guess sometimes you might run into a flathead or something, but nine times out of the 10 you're just going to need a Phillips screwdriver.So we're going to take both of those out, and with that the former handle is just going to come off. And we'll want to hang onto those, we'll reuse them when we put our new handle in. We'll just take our new handle, just going to hold it up to our original screw there. I'm going to get one side started and once it's started properly, just like that, we'll get the other side started. With them both started, we'll just get them secured down.So as you guys can see, it's just one of the many very easy things that we're able to change inside an RV and go from the older '90s, early 2000s, look into a more updated and fresh look.

These handles matched perfectly and were a great replacement. 2 reasons why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was that it took almost a month to get the handles and when they arrived, they did not come with the mounting screws.
