The fork block attaches to your crossbar with rubber-coated steel straps. The straps are tightened around the crossbar with the included Allen wrench.

Great product, super easy to install, and sturdy. IF YOU ARE USING THIS FOR A MOUNTAIN BIKE, they tend to have wider hubs and/or thicker axles that WILL NOT WORK with the skewer and sleeve provided. You have to buy a rhino rack thru axle adapter which is an additional $XXX/per and a different size thru axle sleeve which is $XX/per. I just wish it came with a more universal fork hookup from the start or a cheaper option to change sizes.

Love this bike rack! It fits perfectly with my Rhino Rack Cross Bars. I'm very impressed by the lack of wind noise. With the bike mounted on the rack, you can barely hear the wind noise at 60mph. With the sunroof open you can hear wind noise, but as long as the window is closed, you can only slightly hear anything if the radio is off and you are trying to hear it. Amazing! Can't wait to get more use out of it in the future!

I love this product even after one year! It works perfectly and is so easy to use that even though I only use it every couple months, I remember the steps.

I have used a lot of bike racks and this is the one I keep on my 4Runner. It just works. It is the easiest to take on and off, which is important for me because between me, my wife and kids I have 4 bikes that need to be rearranged often. We also use a roof box, kayak racks and a SUP rack so I am always taking things off and on. The front straps loop over the bar and tightens with an allen key, the back is a couple wing nuts. Since there are 2 straps up front the rack is very stable when a bike is on it. I like that it comes with locks and the skewer is super easy to adjust, clamp and unclamp. If it is cold, dark and damp at 6am and I am tired, late for a ride and still waking up this is the rack I go for because it is easy. There are a couple things to be aware of though... You will need to put a drop of oil in the skewer every 6 months or so to keep it opening and closing smoothly. Otherwise is can stick. Sometimes if the skewer is turned just right there will be a bit of whistle because of a hole in the clamping mechanism. If I turn it to a different angle the whistle stops. And after going through the car wash with the rack on my roof a dozen times or so the black paint began to have a bit of a rainbow sheen. Not sure if it is the bike rack or the soap my car wash uses.

Kevin, What type of car wash have you gone through? Roller brushes or touch less... with just water? I was thinking about this same question. I use the Oasis Kwik Wash in Wentzville often and was wondering if these racks will hold up to their brushes. Thanks

Kevin E.

6/20/2014

Chris, I tend to get my car dirty, so I need a full-on scrub. I usually go through car washes with brushes or the long floppy side-to-side towel things - that is a technical term : I have 4 of these racks now and they have held up well in the car wash. Then end of the rack has a plastic cap that can get loose if you take it on and off too much. That is the only piece I worry about coming off. I will probably add just a touch of glue to it to make sure it stays on. Like I said in my original review, the paint did get a rainbow sheen after having it on my roof a while, not sure if it is from the sun or the soap.

by:

Very sturdy carrier- well made and attaches very securely to my roof rack.

by:

Nice bike rack, but I ordered the wrong equipment. Had to return it. Unfortunately, no free return shipping. So, that's 27 bucks. A bit disappointed in that.

by:

I had a great experience with etrailer.com. The process was easy and the racks were delivered quickly. Very happy with the Rhino racks I got.

by:

Great design. Easy to install and fits all my many bikes. Quieter than I thought and made of solid materials. Sexy black on my Legacy. Kayaks and bikes ready for adventure and fun in the upper left USA.

Great! I get inquiries from people and turn them to Etrailer. Wor ki s great looks cool.

by:

The product is of high quality and easy to assemble and install.
It is so stable that holds the bike so tight that I don't have to worry while I am driving.
I have two issues with this product: The strap is long that it hits the rear window of my eclipse whenever I open the trunk. It left some marks on the rear window that I was able to remove them( I think it is because of my car and the product itself).
The second issue is the whistle that I can hear when I drive more that 40 mph and some people advised me to use fairing that I have not used yet.
Generally, I like the product and strongly recommended it as it solved my problem of putting the bike with its dirt in the trunk.

by:

Super easy to attach to cross racks on 2016 Subaru Impreza 5 door. Plenty of room to open the hatch. Seems sturdy, my mt bike fork fits. Just got it this afternoon, bike was on the car within the hour. So far it looks like a great rack. I am happy with etrailer.

by:

Great product, easy to install. I wish that they would offer a matching key set. Now I have 3 different keys for my set up.

by:

This system has been wonderful. Not a single issue. I love the Bike Rail that I purchased with the rack. George is awesome gives real honest customer service. You won't go wrong with this system or George as your contact at ETrailer.

I LOVE MY SYSTEM I HAVE NOT HAD A SINGLE ISSUE WITH IT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

by:

I love etrailer! You guys rock! I'm a newbie when it comes to roof racks so it really helped that your site is easy to navigate and compare products. Additionally, your product review videos are GREAT and helped me ultimately make a decision on a roof rack with bike attachment. This attachment fit perfectly on my roof rack and holds the bike in sturdy. Will definitely be back to purchase additional attachments in the future!

by:

I have had these racks on two cars now. They work great. Easy to mount the bike and extremely stable. Over time, you'll have to clean and oil the cam to keep it smooth. Etrailer is always prompt as well.

by:

I've had this bike roof rack for 1 year and I'm happy to say that it was the right product to purchase. I've had no problems at all with the racks. I bought a pair for my Subaru Outback and had my bicycle repair guy install it for me. I feel secure in that it locks the bikes in place and keeps them sturdy on the roof. I'm glad I got the one where you remove the front tire of the bike. The other style would make it much to hard to remove the bikes from the roof. I usually put the bikes up and remove them with my wife and the aid of a small step stool. It's been really great riding with our bikes to our favorite bike trails. Would highly recommend Rhino for making such a great product.

by:

I ordered four of these racks to mount on my 2002 Subaru Forester that has the factory rails. They arrived very quickly, fit like a glove, and I was impressed by the quality and design. By alternating them front-to-back, I am able to carry 4 mountain bikes at one time - just what I wanted. I did have a problem with one of the keys working smoothly in one of the units, but this was quickly resolved by customer service at RinoRack.com who sent a new pair of keys.

by:

My roof rack bike rack has worked great, I haven't used it a ton but when I needed it it did the job. The only issue I had which really isn't a negative about the rack, but it does stick out over the back of my vehicle far enough and it doesn't allow the gate to fully open. This is really only a slight inconvenience and everything really is still functional. The roof rack saves me space inside the vehicle when I am traveling with my bike by allowing me to utilize the roof. It is sturdy and I love the fact that you can lock your bike onto it! It is easy to mount your bike to it as well as to mount the rack to the roof then take it off when it is not in use.

by:

The ease of installing was better than expected. The videos etrailer provides for the Rhino was truly a determining factor in my pre-purchase assessment. Upon unpacking and inspecting the rack I became concerned with the integrity of where the skewer/locking bracket attach to the bar. It is held in place with a rather small bolt and nut which I had to tighten . Although I have not experienced any failures it makes me nervous that this will become a point of failure. One other note: Although my primary usage will be for a carbon road bike, upon reading the instructions I learned the weight limit is 35 pounds. This is simply an oversight on my part when looking over technical specs. I have never weighed my mountain bike but Im not sure this rack is suitable for it. Just be sure you read over other technical documents if you are considering this rack.
My rack was installed on a Ford Escape.

by:

Product fits well on roof rack for 2015 BMW X 3. Easy to install.
Well constructed and assembles easily. Have not placed bike on rack so far to determine stability or function. From years of bike rack experience, it looks like it will be exactly what I want for road and trail/disk brake bikes. Used Thule and Yakima in the past.
Be careful not to throw away keys. They are located in the long plastic bag covering the support tray, a place you would not normally look for keys. Should be in bag with assembly parts.

by:

Purchased the RBC035 carrier along with the RS2500 Roof Rack - Vortex Aero Crossbars and everything fit well on my BMW 328i and is performing as expected. I'm pleased with the purchase.

by:

Easy assembly, very sturdy. Although the end piece did take some elbow grease to install. Locks the bike tight, and the rear movable strap helps with different wheelbase bikes. Works for the bikes I have; the cutout for the disc brake on the mountain bike is large enough. Excellent alternative if you don't want to scratch your frame using upright trays with a frame gripper.

by:

The Rhino RBC035 bike rack works great. It's low profile is great without bike, and its had no issues keeping full suspension bike stable at highway speeds. Etrailer was great to order through. Super fast and responsive.

by:

AWESOME!!! Installed in minutes.

by:

It is very easy to mount on Thule aero bars. Holds fork solidly. The cam has a lot of throw so it is easy to insert the forks without further loosening or adjusting.

etrailer packed them very well and delivered on time.

by:

I've enjoyed using this rack. I have it mounted on top of my teardrop trailer and it requires a ladder to put the bike up and take it down. It does take some strength to load. It's strong on bumpy roads and in crosswinds. It does need to be checked periodically and tightened a little. Good product, I'd buy it again.

by:

You have to love the service you get from etrailer. The bike rack appears to be very well made, and was extremely easy to install on my Undercover truck lid with the build in rhino rack.
