  • Limited Lifetime warranty
  • 30-Day satisfaction guarantee

Insert these helper springs in between the individual coil loops in either your front or rear coil springs to defeat driver fatigue and add better support for heavy loads. Most factory front coil suspensions have a difficult time supporting heavy front loads like winches, brush guards and snowplows. The rear coils may struggle with supporting the extra load placed on your rear axle when you're towing a trailer or using a hitch-mounted cargo carrier or bike rack. If your coil springs are totally squished under a load, the lack of shock absorption can be harsh on your backside, especially if you spend long hours sitting in your vehicle while clearing snow or driving to a campsite.

Coil SumoSpring installed between rungs of coil spring

Inside each helper spring, a core of microcellular polyurethane foam adds cushioning between your coils to make your ride more comfortable. Each doughnut-shaped spring has H-shaped channels at the top and bottom that fit to the rung of an individual coil in your front or rear coil springs. The cushioning absorbs shock, but also works progressively to better support weight, keeping your truck level.

Unlike air springs that fit inside your coil springs, these polyurethane springs require no air pressure monitoring, and they are easier to install. Say goodbye to air lines, valves and air tanks and hello to maintenance-free suspension support. Unbumpify your ride with Coil SumoSprings for coil suspensions.

OEM springs not strong enough.
After
installed feels a lot stiffer and raised the back 2". Material looks really good. Installation done in 40 min using a nut driver, a flat head screw driver and hand soap. I did have to take wheel off it just makes like easier.

by:

I installed these on a 2020 Honda Passport (vehicle not listed in the fitment for this product). Installation was quick and easy. These worked great to help control the squat and reduced the bounciness when the trailer was loaded. After installation, I towed a single axle enclosed trailer (6'x14') with the contents of a single bedroom apartment from New Hampshire to Michigan and I am glad I made this choice. With them installed, I have noticed a very slight stiffness when not towing a trailer, but I intend to leave them on.

My experience with these are still good. I did notice that one side had rolled off the coil despite having the zipties still in place, but they still work as well as I could have expected. I still experience some sag while towing a trailer, but it is not as bad as if I did not have these installed. This vehicle seems to be very sensitive to tongue weight even when the trailer is empty

by:

2005 Honda Cr-V, they went on pretty easy, it was a tight fit but no trimming required. I jacked the car up on some stands, had both sides installed and zip tied in 45 minutes..

by:

Sumo springs installed without removing tires, just used a 2 ton floor jack to lift the rear tire off the ground to put the lift spring in a negative relaxed position. Then followed instructions and cleaned springs with dish soap and water, also used solution on sumo lift coil. Coil snaked between lift springs without any problems. Placed Ty’s per instructions using a needle nose pliers to pull tyes securely in place and cut off any excess tye. Sumo are working great .!! If you haul a trailer get these springs lifts the really do work according to advertisers info.

by:

Delivered on time. Installed on 2015 Kia Sorento. Super easy. Took the tires off the rear to install. Left the tires on for fronts. Having a much, much better ride now. Went from a sloppy rolling mess to a much more controlled experience. Highly recommend.

by:

Always great service with you guys. Suggestion would be the ability to add a PO to orders. We deal with the VA a lot and we use the Veterans last name for ordering.

by:

Great product, fast delivery.

by:

Great product these coil are simple and quick

Installed the SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for suspension - Rear Axle on my Ram 1500. Easy install, if you follow their enclosed directions. It took longer to jack up the truck and secure it than the actual installation. Any negative comments that were written about the installation are most likely based on the ability NOT to read and follow the written directions. Took a drive after installation and immediately felt the difference in handling. Actually installed them to assist in the 30-foot travel trailer I am towing with a 1500 Ram. No doubt it is going to assist with the sway bars already on the trailer. In my opinion, it was a good investment for the price vs the results.

by:

2021 Highlander front with drive V6. Product is right on the money for description. My Bass boat is 3900lbs, definitely took a 1-1/4 out from the sag. Also, extremely less bounce. I would prefer to have air bags, though no one makes them for my year. This is a great alternative.

by:

Works exactly how I needed. The Ride is still very nice. There's about 350lbs with the weight of the box & rack. Suspension in the rear used to sag a bunch, even with a 2" suspension lift.

by:

I have a 2015 Subaru Outback. When towing it went from a mushy rear end to a nice stiffness. Max tongue weight is 275# and with 220# on a recent trip (~2000# trailer weight) it only squatted the rear end about an inch (after rolling back and forth to let it settle).

Previously I was getting instability above 60mph especially when hitting the bumps at the ends of bridges. On my recent trip I was able to hit 80mph with the car feeling totally planted.

When totally empty you do get just the smallest hint of a 'truck like' ride but I typically carry some tools and other stuff all the time and that dampens it.

For install I found it helped to sort of feed the sumo into the coil as you kinda roll your hand over the part juming into the groove.

by:

Shipping was fast and packaged well. The material looks and feels durable and easy to install but is a little loose on the springs, and not as snug as I thought. Although once I did a test drive around the neighborhood it tighten itself on the coil springs and hope it stays that way!

by:

Installation was a bit more difficult than anticipated, however, for an 81-year-old guy, most everything is. The SumoSprings work just fine. I feel like they've reduced the sway and increased stability while hauling our Tab320 trailer with our Subaru Outback. Service from eTrailer was fast.

by:

Installed the CSS-1168R Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper spacers on a 2011 Honda Ridgeline 4 wheel drive rear springs. Installation took about 45 minutes including removal of tires. Once spacer was started the installation was easy.
Zip ties were a little more difficult because of the dust strut covers installed by Honda.

by:

Pretty easy to install. During my first drive with them installed I heard a lot of thumping even over small bumps, but it seemed to work itself out on the second drive. I think it helps level out the slight sag in the rear of the car, and the front wheel drive which used to slip frequently when towing gets better traction. Be aware that for a 2005 Highlander, there are no holes or zip ties, and you can't get the Helpers to stay much higher than the lowest coil. I think them sliding down is what eliminated the thumping.

by:

Did not fit the 2022 Subaru Outback as advertised making these a total cash grab on etrailers part. Buyer Beware. Incorrect fitment guide means expensive mistake.

by:

I was very excited about these for my 4x4 2015 Nissan Frontier. I am not completely displeased with them because they do make a mild difference over bumps, but they aren't worth over 100 bucks no way, the fact that I had to CUT THEM to fit due to them being too long made me feel like the company does not due their research when manufacturing them. It was so long that it lapped the beginning on it, so in order to have them installed as shown on the instructions I had to cut nearly 3 inches off... Which meant I had to comely install them, mark then uninstall, cut to fit, then install again. For an item to cost this much I expected better build quality.

Bang for buck it's not worth it, it's overpriced and I wouldn't recommend them for that cost.

by:

Have had these in for a year. Easy to install. I did have to trim some off to install, but super easy with a razor knife. Bought these to help level out my Pacifica and they’re awesome. Fully loaded and it still squats a bit but no where near as bad as it used to. No effect on daily driving. If you’re thinking about it, just do it.

by:

I ordered these for my RAM Promaster 3500 because I had heard from fellow owners that they are a worthwhile addition, for increased stability on the road. The instructions are good, and they weren’t too hard to install myself. They are kind of expensive for a couple of rings of dense foam/plastic, but I guess they must be petty heavy duty. I look forward to my next trip to see how they perform.

by:

Install went fairly easy once I figured out the best spot to put the jack to lift the van. Really helped to have an oil filter wrench to get the old springs off the back. Took it out for a drive after an much better cornering and much less effect from wind and 18-wheelers. This was on a fairly windy day. No big difference in softness of the ride.

by:

Etrailer was very fast on delivery. The parts were just what I needed to stabalize my ProMaster van in crosswinds. I am very pleased with Etrailer

by:

They seem to work as the back of my vehicle sag is not as noticeable with my trailer attached.

by:

The Sumo Springs installed easily and definitely hold up the back of the vehicle better and also firmed up the ride , now I want them for the front also. Great product!

  • Are There Rear Suspension Enhancement Options for a 2016 Honda Pilot
I might have an option for you but we don't have any confirmed rear suspension enhancement options for a 2016 Honda Pilot. That said, the Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs may work but we'd need a measurement of your rear coil springs to confirm. You'd need to measure the gap between the coils in the middle of the spring with the vehicle as it sits. You do not need to raise it. Ensure that each side of the vehicle is within 1/4" (0.25") measurement of the other. If it's 1" for example...

  • Recommended Ball Mount for a 2010 Toyota RAV4 With Factory Towing Package
For your 2010 Toyota RAV4 Factory Hitch, you'll want about a 3 inch rise. It does sound like you've gotten this about right though. If yours is a 1-1/4 inch hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite Drawbar, part # 36063.
