Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a class 2 trailer safety chain. The class 2 safety chain is rated to 5,000 pounds. The chain is made from carbon steel and it's zinc plated to withstand corrosion. This is a 72 inch long chain. It features the nice quick link connectors, one on each end, that close on a threaded link. It offers a secure safety chain connection.
The opening right here, that gap, measures 7/16 of an inch. The chains are designed for towing only. They're not for lifting. The chain diameter is 9/32 of an inch. Again, the overall length is 72 inches.
The quick link, when it comes to the amount of space inside, side to side that's 2 1/4. And then going this direction, at the wides point, that's 11/16ths. The actually diameter of the quick link is 5/16 of an inch and again the maximum gross trailer weight capacity is up to 5,000 pounds. That's gonna do it for today's look at the 72 inch class 2 trailer safety chain.
