My contact at Curt confirmed that their front-mount hitch # 31302 is the correct fit for the 2006 Silverado 1500 LT crew cab 4-door and standard cab 2-door. It does NOT fit the extended cab 4-door.
This USA-made 2-inch hitch has a 500-lb vertical load rating and a 9000-lb line pull rating. It also features a heavy-duty powder coat finish. It includes all mounting hardware. An install video is included for you.
If your intended use for the front hitch is a hitch-mount snowplow like Detail K2 Avalanche # K2AVAL8219 then I strongly recommend you consider adding some front axle suspension support.
If your LT is a 2WD you can use the front coil spring kit # CSS-1125 or jounce spring kit # SSF-203-47 if it is 4WD. These kits will help prevent front-end sag from the weight of the plow.
