Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your rear cargo area.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Mdison. Thank you for all of your Help. Trailor hitch and wiring went together Good

Chevrolet Equinox

2018 Equinox LT without towing package.
Removed
3 mounting screws on plastic fascia to allow room for my hands/arms.
Had to pry dust cover off existing plug with small screwdriver.
Plugged in new wiring harness and tested for voltage ( Without installing new relays) all 3 circuits, brakes, blinkers and parking lights worked perfectly!

by:

works like it should. Super easy to ins tall.

by:
2019 Chevrolet Equinox

The only difficult thing to installing this harness is getting the cap off of the car's wiring harness. After sliding the red lock tab out, make sure you push on the black tab in front of the red sliding tab while pulling the cap off. Trust me. Without pushing on the black tab, the cap won't come off. Once that's off just plug in the new harness and route it to the area where the safety chains attach.

Great. Using it today as a matter of fact. Makes wiring up for a trailer a breeze.

by:

I plugged it in and it works fine. I use the tester that you have, which is a very convenient little gadget.

2018 Chevrolet Equinox

Excellent product... I have a 2018 Chevy Equinox and this wiring harness along with the light tester worked great. The video by etrailer.com made it very easy to understand. This is the 1st time I attempted this type of wiring When I made the connection and then tested the lights and everything worked.... it was a big relief.
Thanks

The trailer connector is still working great.

It works as intended.

Very good plan-n-play harness, but the plug?
Only
issue was the male pin came out of the plug after only a couple of uses. Had to splice a cord and plug on the fly as we were taking a trailer with us on a trip, so no time to return, warranty etc. Overall a nice product, but now I have a spliced cord, which isn't desirable.

2018 Chevrolet Equinox

I have never installed a hitch before and am 79 years old. I followed your videos of the install of the hitch and the wire harness. everything went well and no problems at all.
It took me about 2 hrs. thanks for the great design to fit my vehicle.

by:
2019 Chevrolet Equinox

Fit perfect with my 2019 Chevy Equinox.

The only issue I found was with the relays. They don't fit very tight into the plug, and they don't snap into place. I ended up having to zip tie them in to make sure they stay in place.

I added some wire conduit around the wires and then double wrapped electrical tape around the length to protect it.

by:
Chevrolet Equinox

The trailer wire harness (curt) instructions tell you to install relays... The relays are not needed and the only place that it says that they "May" be needed is in the install video that is only listed under the equinox, not under the Terrain install only took one-two min. I just wish the install sheet was more clear!

by:

This OEM tow package wiring connector is fairly priced, arrived within the timeframe indicated, well packaged, and ready to use. Following etrailer's online video instructions I easily installed and tested this item and it works perfectly.

by:
2018 Chevrolet Equinox

This was ordered and shipped same day. it was sent via snail mail but still got it in about 3 days. I would definitely recommend etrailer parts because they are exact fit - plug and play. Easy!

by:
2019 Chevrolet Equinox

Simple and easy to install! Instructions could have been more specific for connector location (i.e. - under vehicle between bumper beam and body). Also supplied relays fit very loosely and required twisting the terminals slightly to get them to stay in contact.

by:

Good simple product, but I returned it because my vehicle did not have the towing harness and fuses blocks from the factory.

by:
2018 GMC Terrain

Works great on my 2018 gmc terrain diesel. The relays were not necessary for my vehicle. Very simple plug and play easiest wiring job I have done. Plenty of wire so you can have plug where ever it needs to be. Very pleased. Thank you.

2019 Chevrolet Equinox

Bought this to fit my 2019 Chev Equinox. Cheaper here than anywhere. Installed easy and worked like a charm. Much better than splicing into wires. I bought the vehicle end tester which made testing so much easier. I am on the east coast of Canada and would recommend etrailer to anyone.

It was easy enough to install but the connections for the turn signals seemed to be a little loose inside the car

by:

Hooked up directly to my Terrain's wiring harness. Perfect.

by:

easy ordering. Quick installation with the help of the video.

  • Correct Trailer Wiring Harness for 2018 Chevy Equinox without Factory Tow Package
The correct custom trailer wiring harness for your 2018 Chevy Equinox without the factory tow package is the Tekonsha # 118750. This will plug right into the ports you found behind the tail lights on your Equinox to provide you with a 4-Way connector to power a trailer's signal lights. I have attached an image of the connectors on this harness so you can see how they match up to the image you attached. For your 2018 Chevy Equinox Premier there are a few options for a trailer wiring harness. If you don't have the factory tow package then you can use the Tekonsaha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118759. This harness will install to the factory harness located behind each tail light and will draw power directly from your vehicle battery. This will protect your factory wiring and electronics from overload by drawing the needed power for the modulite converter...

  • Troubleshooting Curt T-Connector On 2018 GMC Terrain Not Having Left Turn Signal/Brake Light
That is a pretty weird issue! I would start by checking that the connector for the Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness # C56375 you installed in your 2018 GMC Terrain is fully seated into the factory connector. If that is the case then go ahead and remove the connector and check both the Curt and Factory connectors for any debris or corrosion that may have worked its way in there causing your issue. Next go ahead and check that the two relays in the fuse box of the rear cargo area are completely...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Left Turn Signal Not Working on 2019 Chevy Equinox
According to Curt the # C56375 wiring harness is a fit for your 2019 Chevy Equinox LT. If it wasn't you probably wouldn't even have a compatible connector to plug it into in the first place. Since it's just the one function and it's definitely on the vehicle side I'd start by checking the relay you installed. Cavity K3 holds the Left trailer stoplamp/Turn signal lamp relay so make sure it's seated properly. If it seems to be, then switch the relays between cavities K2 and K3 and then...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Left Stop/Turn Lights Not Working with Curt # C56375 on a 2018 GMC Terrain
It sounds like you probably have a short on your left stop/turn circuit on your trailer end. It is very unlikely that the wiring on your 2018 GMC Terrain is messed up as it is a brand new vehicle so I would start by checking the connector on your trailer for corrosion or debris. If you have any fuses or relays on your Terrain dedicated to the trailer lights then they would be worth looking at as well. If that looks good then check the wiring and grounds on that circuit. Look for places...

We can only base what is confirmed to fit either by what we have installed ourselves or the information that the manufacturer gives us. • Difference Between Curt Wiring Harnesses for a 2018 GMC Terrain
Hey Harold, thanks for reaching out! The difference between the Curt Wiring Harnesses for your 2018 GMC Terrain is that the part # C56375 comes with relays that you install in your vehicle fuse/relay box while the part # C94FR (56429) has plugs integrated into the wiring for those relays. They install using the same plug and they give you the same functions so it just depends on where you'd rather install the relays at.

For that, I must recommend you reach out to the manufacturer of said product. It sounds like there is a problem with a relay on the vehicle side. In the fuse panel located in the rear of your 2018 Chevy Equinox check to make sure there is a relay in the K3 location. Wiring harness # C56375 comes with 2 relays and one of them goes in that K3 location. It is for the left side trailer brake light and turn signal.
