Have a 2018 Equinox to connect a small utility trailer. Is your system designed to simply splice all conections in Equinox lighting and signals in parallel with trailer lighting?

Yes, the Curt trailer wiring harness part # C56375 that you referenced comes with everything that allows you to easily install a trailer wiring harness in your 2018 Chevy Equinox. It's a simple wiring connection and a few relays.
