The air springs and jounce springs in this system work together to give you the best ride whether your truck is loaded or unloaded. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs have internal urethane foam jounces that protect the air springs and provide added ride comfort when your air pressure is low. The jounces also allow you to temporarily carry a load if the air springs lose air pressure. This gives your 3/4- or 1-ton pickup, motor home, or commercial truck air springs that are easier to maintain.
Air Springs Level Your Load
Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts extra stress on your truck. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even inaccurate and unsafe headlight aim.
By pairing your existing suspension with LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and get the support you need. The springs provide up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity (depending on the weight-carrying capacity of your vehicle) and distribute the weight of your payload to all 4 wheels. As a result, the stress on your factory suspension is significantly reduced. LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated equally for front-to-back leveling or independently of one another for side-to-side leveling.
The air springs are made of high-quality, 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends where the bag is enclosed with steel caps. These caps can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. But the endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air.
The air bags also have Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which protect the air springs and beef up their load capacity. These sturdy plates help guard the springs from moving parts under your vehicle that might puncture the air bags. The plates also provide a larger surface area for each spring to roll on. The extra surface area gives you a higher spring rate at a lower air pressure, resulting in a better ride.
Built-In Jounce Springs Add Control and Comfort
The closed-cell urethane jounce spring inside each air spring gives you a more stable, comfortable ride. Each jounce acts as an overload spring and engages when your current air pressure level isn't enough to support your load. So on a rough road, the springs will kick in if needed to absorb bumps and shocks and help you to avoid bottoming out. When the jounces support a load, they adjust progressively - the more weight you pile on, the stiffer they become. The urethane material engages more smoothly than rubber jounces so you get a less jerky ride.
Because these jounces are taller than your factory jounce bumpers, they engage sooner than your factory jounces would to provide better support. And if the LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs have insufficient or zero air pressure, the internal jounces will help to temporarily support your suspension and protect it from damage until you can repair or adjust the air spring system.
Easy Installation
This system installs with the included brackets and hardware. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump in air through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the manual inflation valves (1 for each spring). These are typically mounted on the bumper but can be installed anywhere that is easily accessible. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately) that allows you to monitor and adjust the springs from the cab of your truck.

2017 Dodge Ram Pickup
I put these Air Helper Springs on a 2013 Ram 2500. Installation of the air bags took a little over two hours and was easy following the instructions. No drilling was requited. Just make sure you do not forget to complete a leak check and make sure to cut the airlines with a very sharp cutter. I purchased the Helper Springs to assist the truck springs and reduce sag when pulling our 17,000 Lb fifth wheel toy hauler with a 3,700 Lb tongue weight. I chose this part number because of the jounce bumper since they would prevent the springs from totally collapsing should total air loss occur. They do the job reducing the sag and increasing vehicle stability. Shout out to etrailer.com for excellent products at reasonable prices.

They're not properly designed for 4wd. The jounce stops engages too soon making for a harsh ride. If you're truck has overloads, they can't engage without the jounce stops being in contact. These work better on 2wd that attach to higher factory perches on frame.

Easy to install, easy to understand instructions. good fit and finish.
I pull a 12K 5th wheel toy hauler and like my rig to stay level even when loaded. I've used Air lift on two of my trucks and upgraded this time to the bags with internal jounce bumpers because it seemed like a good idea. I just got back from a 240 mile trip and they worked perfectly. Makes a big difference when the road drops out and the 5th wheel comes down hard. No bottoming out and no bounce back.

Only leaks were from brass fitting on top of air bags called customer service and they said they got a bad batch from manufacture. So now I have to remove from truck and wait for new set and hope they don’t leak.

2014 Ram 3500
been towing for 15 years and owned a 41' 5'er for the past 2. All i can say is WOW!!!! such a difference in towing!!!!!! i also installed the in cab compressor controller as well so that i could monitor the air pressure in the bags(buy more air hose for compressor kit, what's included was not quite enough). Installation was a lil time consuming as i had broken a socket and rounded out one bolt(my fault). I personally found it easier to watch vids for the install vs using the manuals but that's jus me. Quick ship by etrailer and product has exceeded my expectations!!! highly recommend this product for anyone towing regardless of trailer type.

2003 Dodge Ram-Pickup
I am pleased with the product. I do believe I have a small air leak somewhere but I have not taken the time to find it. We just bought a 32 ft 5th wheel so I believe the air bags will come in handy while pulling it. Service from etrailer was excellent as always. They did a match on the price which was good also. If I need something for my trailers I always check with them first.

2015 Ram 3500
After a year now still works perfectly. Only 2 down sides, First it has a slow leak (they were installed exactly as the instructions said). I put them on 90psi and about 6 months later they were between 20-40psi.
Second, the hardware is rusted. The nuts that hold the air lines where you fill them are pretty bad and the bolts that hold the airbag plates are all rusted.
I would definitely purchase them for my future vehicles, they hold the weight and easy to add/remover air. Still satisfied.

This product is awesome. It only took me about two hours to put it on my Ram 2500 using standard hand tools. I paired it with the WirelessOne compressor system and it’s perfect. It eliminated my trailer squat and actually makes my truck ride better even without the trailer. If you’ve got a Ram that needs a little bit more suspension, look no further!

2006 Dodge Ram Pickup
Just got the air bags installed on my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500, product was an excellent fit, and install was very easy, even at 1 a.m. installed this along with AL25490, that install was a little harder, instructions from Air Lift left me a little confused, (could have been lack of sleep) all in all, cannot wait to put a trailer on and see how it all works.

This product is outstanding! I took just a little over 2 hours to install in my driveway using 2 x jack stands and a floor jack. Parts fit perfect and the instructions are clear and very well informed. It took less time to install the bags than it did to find line routes to steer clear of the exhaust and moving parts. I routed the lines to the license plate for discretion, making it easy and clean to adjust the ride height. I recommend this to anyone that tows.

The product was as advertised. Instructions were provided and fairly straightforward. Be sure to jack the frame up high enough to access the area where the airbags go. Be careful when inserting the clips into the frame. I had one that slipped and shot into the inside of the frame and thankfully I had a long handled magnet and retrieved it. One recommendation I have is for the manufacturer to preassemble as much of the product as possible which would minimize the chance of parts being assembled incorrectly. I mounted the valve stems on the bumper on each side of the license plate.
