Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Well made and very discreet beneath my FX35. Vehicle guide helped me acquire the right reciever and how-to videos assured a flawless installation. Trouble free ordering and prompt shipping. All in all, a very satisfying project. Thank you.

It works as it was designed to. No complaints just happy trails.

by:
2017 Infiniti QX70

Everything as described. This definitely takes two people to install and the vehicle must be elevated due to the angle the hitch needs to be at to move into place on the drivers side. The video and directions could do better describing this - it's really the hardest part of the install. You do not need to remove the suspension damper for wrench clearance as suggested. I'll have to watch the paint coating. Some of it flaked off edges where the bolts attach during install.

Great product. Solid, Rugged, feels like its a heavy duty unit. Though car is Infiniti FX, so I don't use it for trailer or boat towing. Bicycle rack perfect.

I received the hitch and wiring harness for our 2013 FX37 quickly however, the hitch pushed through the shipping box but was not damaged or missing any parts. I watched the video on how to install and installed it myself on the ground with no lift or ramps. Was a bit tight in spots but installed it loosely until all hardware was together with a few turns and then tightened all bolts which helped a lot. Fit as expected and looks great.

installation went well, hitch quality good, some paint chipped from shipping

It is important to cover any bare metal with anti-corrosive paint to avoid excessive rust. Here are some tips in this help article:

  • Recommendation for Hitches and Bike Racks for a 2011 Infiniti FX35 and 1998 Toyota 4Runner
Between the bike racks that you mentioned, Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH83JV, the Kuat NV 2.0 # NV22G, and the Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack # Y02443, I recommend the Yakima HoldUp rack because it fits you application the best. The Yakima bike rack can carry a wheel diameter between 14-29 inches. Being able to carry a tire as low as 14 inches will allow to carry the smaller child's bikes. Kuat and Thule have a 20 inch minimum on their wheel diameter. Also, the when folded up the Yakima rack measures...

  • Installation Time for the Curt Wiring Harness # C56074 on a 2009 Infiniti FX35
Curt has listed an installation time of the wiring harness # C56074 as 30 minutes for the professional installer. I spoke to my installer and he said for a novice you should expect 1 hour and a half at the very least. I have linked the instructions to this page for your convenience. I do want to let you know that the Curt Hitch # 13554 will require you to use a stabilization strap # 18050 with any non-trailer loads (bike racks, cargo carriers, etc.) which is why I instead recommend the...

  • Appearance Of Trailer Hitch When Installed On 2013 Infiniti FX50S
The design of the trailer hitches we offer that will fit your FX50S have a visible crossbar. We offer two hitches for your vehicle. We have photos of the installation of the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 13554 and as you can see in the attached photo, the crossbar is visible. This is a Class lll trailer hitch and it has a 2-inch receiver opening. It is a round-tube design which does make it more attractive in many folk's opinion. The second hitch we offer is designed in much the same manner...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2017 Infiniti QX70
There are a pair of trailer hitches that are a confirmed fit for your 2017 Infiniti QX70, the Curt # 13554 and Draw-Tite # 75778, which replaced the Hidden Hitch and is the same style. The truth of the matter is both of these hitches are going to look essentially the same on your Infiniti; if you check out the accompanying sketches from the installation instructions from both hitches you will be able to see that they will wind up in the same position. Since these hitches are the only fits...

For your 2017 Infiniti QX70 the Draw Tite hitch part # 75778 that you referenced is a confirmed fit. This hitch does not also fit any Nissan vehicles. Also there aren't any hitches for the QX70 that also fit any Nissan vehicles.

  • Can I Use a Weight Distribution System On a 2017 Infiniti QX70
I do have an option for you but they do not make a trailer hitch for your 2017 Infiniti QX70 that is designed to be used with a weight distribution system. The reason for this is the mounting points the trailer hitch will use on your vehicle are not durable enough to withstand the added stress of a weight distribution system. However, I have a combination of two products that will actually take the place of a weight distribution system and they are much easier to setup each time you need...

  • Installation of DrawTite # 75778 Class III Trailer Hitch on 2010 Infiniti FX35
To install the Draw-Tite Class III receiver hitch part # 75657 on your Infiniti, the splash guards, under body appearance panels and tow hook will need to be removed. Once the installation is completed, the splash guards will be replaced, but the tow hook and the under body panels will not be re installed as they would interfere with the hitch. If you choose to install the hitch, we recommend keeping these removed items in the event you should decide to remove the hitch in the future. For...
