Hey, guys. Kevin here at etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Command Electronics LED Bullet Utility Light. With these bright white LED lights, you're not gonna have to replace any bulbs because it's just that one little diode in there which is gonna give you that bright, bright light versus those incandescent utility lights, and on top of that, you're not gonna be putting out as much power, just because LEDs don't require as much. Along with that, it's gonna come with a nice grommet that's gonna help protect from any water getting in, prevent any damage to the walls of your trailer, and these are gonna be compatible with any 12 volt DC system. As far as installation goes, it is easy peasy. All you need is a three quarter inch drill bit to just cut right through our trailer wall here and pop in our grommet and then our light, and hookup is as simple as splicing in two wires.

On our neighbor's enclosed trailer, he has a red clearance light at the back and an amber one up at the front. All of the lights that he has on his truck are all a bright white color so he wants to have his trailer match his truck so he just has that extra aesthetic, makes everything look real nice and clean. So today we're gonna be going ahead and swapping out our red and our amber clearance lights for a nice bright white one. To begin our install, we are going to first make sure that we have no power running through our wire right here and then we are going to take apart our quick connect right here. Pop that open.

And we're gonna save that 'cause we're gonna reuse it but we'll pop off our wire for our light and then we can go and start taking it out on the outside of the trailer. Next we're gonna take out these two screws and since we already have our wiring out this will pop right out. So our light's gonna require a three quarter inch hole right here, so I'm gonna go ahead and use that middle one, just so it stays nice between these two bolts and just overall it's gonna look better, but we're gonna go ahead and take our three quarter inch drill bit here. And now that we're through, I'm gonna go ahead and take my file and just kind of clean up that edge. Because our new light is only gonna be our grommet-style mount, we're not gonna be using these screw holes right here, so I'm gonna fill those in with some silicone and I've got some black just so it kind of matches up.

So next we're gonna take our little grommet gasket here and we're gonna stick that in. You have to kind of put some pressure on it to really get it in place. Want that secure. We can push our light through and then we can wire it up. So I'm gonna use that quick splice once again.

I'm gonna stick my green wire, which is my running lights, and then my black wire, which is gonna be my power for the light. that in place. Take the pliers and push down, nice and tight. And we can put that little cap over and then we're just gonna use a ring terminal and ground this right into the frame of our trailer. So go ahead and just bend that over, get that a little bit thicker, and place on the ring terminal and crimp it down. And then we can grab a drill and I'm just gonna reuse that self-tapping screw that we had on the outside holding our previous light, and we shoot that right up into the frame. And now we can go ahead and test out our light. Now that we have our light on and working, I'm gonna go ahead and do our front one and then hit the other two on the other side of our trailer.
