Does it rub at all on the bottom of bumper? Did you have to use spacers?

Verne

Roger, No it did not rub on the bottom of the Venza bumper body. I only used the parts they sent to use.

Ordered the Curt Trailer hitch receiver (2”) from etrailer.com; once delivered I watched the video from their website and proceeded to install the receiver. The install took around 40 min due to the seized nuts under my 11-year old Venza. Other then needing a bit of WD-40 the install was quick and simple. Once on the Venza I dropped in my Thule T2 Pro XTB 2 Bike Rack (also great). Overall a great install, doesn’t look bad and functionally everything I could ask for.

2011 Toyota Venza

Much beefer hitch than it looked online. Will use for more than swagman bike rack.had it installed locally. I felt that I could install myself but my wife said at 70 yr old better not try it lol .installed for $50 in 45 min. Thanks for ur help . We are set to have fun on our bikes

by:

Installation was reasonably easy, start to finish in about an hour. Bolting exhaust back was a little tricky as the hitch is in the way on drivers side. A knuckle socket on end of extension did the trick. raising muffler with a four wheel floor jack helped

by:

Great second purchase, and easy to install...fast delivery, great communication. I called with questions, very helpful and friendly. I bought the Curt trailer hitch, and i made custom bike rack. Thanks again! Chuck

by:

Simple to install. The shipment was complete. Make sure to have extenders when securing sway bar, gas tank and this hitch. Hitch rusts fast! Bought a rust preventative primer and paint.

Everything as presented! Prompt on time delivery. Exact fit for our 2014 Toyota Venza. My local auto service center (Wilks Tire and Battery) did the install in 15 minutes. Said in would have been a few more minutes if it had been AWD vehicle but still not difficult.

Great hitch at a good price. Holding up well. My 3rd hitch from etrailer. Installation fairly straight forward. Some basic skills required, certainly doable for most.

by:

This is my 2nd trailer hitch from e-Trailer. I have a small trailer I use to haul brush, furniture & my recumbent bike. I was very pleased with my first hitch, but after getting a new car, I needed another hitch. The quality products and video instructions make it straight forward to install. My kit required a wire to run from the back of the vehicle to the battery in front. The video outlined the best path to route the wire to avoid hot parts or areas where the wire could be damaged. The connection at the battery included a fuse to prevent a electrical fire if somehow the wire got damaged, like in an accident. When I ordered the 2nd hitch, I received an email letting me know the hitch I selected was no longer available within 3 hours of my order. They suggested another hitch to fit my vehicle. Whenever the need for another hitch arises I know the only place I will go, etrailer.

The web site provides a great amount of information that made selecting the right trailer hitch easy. I purchased the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2". Ordering and shipping were easy and the product arrived exactly as presented. I cannot say enough about the available installation videos - outstanding and spot-on for my vehicle. Installation was exactly as presented by eTrailer. Overall, my purchase was an great experience and my expectations were exceeded. I will certainly be a repeat customer and will definitely recommend this company based on the incredibly positive experience I had.

There were a few scratches on the hitch, but nothing major. It's going under the car. It's going to have more stuff to deal with now.

The instructions and video were very helpful.
I also didn't drop the exhaust. It took 2 people to install. Most people don't have a hoist. What I did was use my two hydraulic jacks to lift the rear end a few more inches to make it easier to move the hitch into place and get the bolts in. That's the easy part. The hardest part was trying to torque the bolts on the driver side of the hitch. The exhaust pipes are almost directly in the way.

It did take me 1hr to install. A good portion of my time was spent looking for an extender and a deep 14mm socket and my swivel adapter. If you aren't going to drop the exhaust. You'll need one to get to the bolts on the one side. But I was able to torque them all down.

Its been terrific! I use it primarily to attach my Yakima bike tray. But Ive hauled reno material in a trailer. The hitch is indispensable.

Made in the USA. Heavy, solid, in great shape when received and packed well. Went on without a hitch (Never heard that one before?). Worse part was putting up driver side muffler bracket but that is merely access to the area. Helpful hint was I got the hitch above the muffler pipes and tied up the Driver side as far as I could since it was a little heavy for this 72 year old to hold in place. Had small floor jack under center of hitch and lifted the unit into place high enough to get [assenger bolts started. Finished on Driver side. My 4th etrailer hitch. Will buy nowhere else. Great service.

Great. No surprises. Hindsight I should have looked more at the video cause I mounted the box in the wrong place on my Venza but it is working fine so.. All good. Finish still looks like new.

Vehicle= 2013 Toyota Venza. Fit and finish= 2nd to none! Ease of install= 5 stars as in anybody could do this job. Wiring kit= excellent wuality & fit. Shipping was faster than expected!
Overall, I would deal with this company again and again! Far nicer looking product than Reese or Drawtite (all rights reserved and with due respect). The Curt looks as if it came factory installed

Used hitch to move from OH to ME. 1,400 miles with a 3,000 lb Uhaul trailer! And it has come in handy for utility trailers because I dont have a truck. I like that the harness stays inside near the spare tire until needed because it doesnt get all full of dirt and that annoying green corrosion that blows fuses. I still like it alot. I also like the way it looks. It fits up inside the bumper so its mostly hidden, and it looks like a factory installed hitch.

Great product, great price, free fast delivery, both written and video installation instructions. Wow the perfect site for trailer equipment. The product reviews are even educational offering alternative approaches and clarification of already thorough instalation instructions. I wish everything was as exceptional as etrailer.com

Thank You!

Great The Hitch has worked like a charm

Great Trailer Hitch. Easy to install. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the box did not secure it well during shipping so it got a little scratched up during delivery.

Sometimes the hitches will receive scratches in shipping. When this happens, we recommend using a rust-oleum type paint to cover up those scratchesspots to ensure that they do not corrode in the future. I have attached a link for reference on rust prevention. I have also sent your review over to customer service so they can reach out to you.

by:

It was easier to install then we antisapated...we installed the hitch within the 30 min. as per the instructions.
The most difficult part was re-securing the muffler after we had dropped it for the hitch installation. My brother in law recommend your site. I have recommend it to my friends.

by:

One whole year already?! Wow... Great product! Easy installation and looks cool too. Only aspect I would've loved is a base or bracket to install the trailer light socket... that's it!!!! Love it, does not have 1 corrosion spot despite being in Puerto Rico beaches every weekend.

I took the product to the shop and they installed it 1/2 hour. They were amazed at how easily it was installed. Exactly as advertised. This is the second hitch I have bought and installed and just like the first on my Element this one on my Venza, every hole/bolt lined up perfectly

The product has performed without a hitch pun intended. I have towed my RV a few times and my utility trailer many times, all without any problems with the hitch. I certainly expect it to continue to serve me as intended.

Customer Service will reach out to you about this soon. Good call on the sanding and repainting though. This will keep the hitch receiver in working order and rust free.

This was truly a great investment!
Easy
to install.
I watched the video that etrailer has on their site and about an hour later I was done with the installation and about another 20 minutes securing the wire to the battery for a (2015 Toyota Venza).
Looks great on the vehicle. No altering the rear bumper at all.
Thank you etrailer for making this a very simple task.

  • Is There a Max Depth Dimension for Curt and Draw Tite Hitches that Fit 2009 Toyota Venza

Between the Curt # 13356 and the Draw-Tite # 75663 Class III trailer hitches for your 2015 Toyota Venza I recommend the Curt # 13356 because of its superior black powder coat finish. This finish tends to last much longer than those from other manufacturers to help extend the overall lifespan on the hitch and resist rust/corrosion. As you probably realized when looking at the two hitches, these units are otherwise pretty much identical. They are going to line right up to existing holes...
