Trailer Hitch Mounted Bike Rack for Hybrid Bikes and an E-Bike on a 2011 Toyota Venza

Question:

I want to buy a hitch and a Thule 2T bro bike rack to carry 2 hybrid bikes. I also own an A2B e-bike, weighing 73 lbs. It would nice if I could use the rack to transport that without any other bikes when I need to transport it for servicing. Im already pretty sold on the Thule 2T pro rack, but am not sure what size hitch I need.

The Thule T2 Pro, part # TH83JV is a great bike rack, though it won't be able to hold your A2B E Bike, its still a great rack for your other bikes.

If you're really interested in that compatibility with the E-Bike, then the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider, part # HLY84FR is the way to go. With an 80 pound per bike capacity and the ability to carry bikes with up to a 60 inch wheelbase, this rack is built to move the largest bikes on the market. It does come with a hitch and bike lock as well.

For either of these racks, you'll need a Class III hitch. Prior to loading, you'll want to verify your vehicle's towing and tongue weight capacities in your owner's manual or with the manufacturer.

I recommend installing the Curt Custom Fit Class III receiver, part # 13356. This hitch will give you a solid hitch, and installs without needing to drill or cut the vehicle's parts. I've attached a picture of this hitch being installed on another 2011 Toyota Venza so you can get an idea of what the process is like.
