Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.
Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in your rear cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
ModuLite Powered Tail Light Converter
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Working great with the Thule EU bike rack (via adapter).
Installed in one evening. The hardest part was to put the power cable under the car from the tail lights to the engine bay.

Quite an elaborate bit of work to get the system installed, especially running the line for the power from the battery. That being said, it was made up of quality components and the project worked perfectly after the effort.
I used the "trailer-light" hook-up to connect to a light bar that I attach to my bikes when I have them mounted on the bike rack and seeing the regular brake lights is difficult.

I installed this today on my 2018 accord. It worked great but take your time. This isn’t a quick install imo. The module box should be mounted inside the trunk liner near the driver side taillight. You can put your ground screw about 3” from where there’s currently another OEM ground. Don’t use the oem ground bolt. Use the one provided on a new hole you drilled. Running the black wire is really the hard part on this job. I ran mine straight down from the driver taillight then around the frame to underneath the center of the back of the car then back to the side skirt on driver side. Basically going around the rear drivers side wheel. You can literally tuck the wire in the plastic skirt (next to the jack stands on frame) all the way down to the front wheel. Then I went through the front fender through the oem gourmet where other wires are already going through and straight up into the engine compartment. Zip tie where you can and use heavy duty electrical tape any where that power wire might touch metal underneath the car. I rate this job as 8 out of 10 difficulty as I’ve done many others. If in doubt get a pro to do it and follow the instructions.

2018 Honda Accord
This kit is very useful! Install is not particularly difficult, but the instructions are unclear at times. There is not suggestion for how to route the power wire up to the front of the car, or where to put the control box, they just kinda leave it up to you. Thankfully there is a YouTube video of uhaul installing a very similar kit to this and she shows somewhat on how to route the power wire. Overall the kit is nice and seems to work well. Excellent shipping times from etrailer and good experience with them!
Suggestions for the kit maker: include how to route the power wire, a good location for the box, and maybe how to route the trailer connector to outside of the vehicle.

Easy install, had everything needed. Have been using it for a year and it works great. Initially I had planned on making my own harness. After installing and using this one I'm glad I didn't. The vehicle has never thrown a code, has not affected my blinker speed.
