Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead with the attached fuse holder up to your car battery. Connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on the battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring. Powered ModuLite reduces strain on wiring system. This wiring harness was a perfect match for my 2016 Jeep latitude. It made the electrical connection part of the trailer receiver installation hassle free. Thank you
Just finished installing this trailer light setup. I highly recommend you have help. Gets old crawling out from underneath to grab tools n such. Also, if you can't use a lift, definitely put it up on ramps or jack stands, the extra room helps immensely. All the connections fit well. It's just a pain fishing the wires all over, but have patience. It take me 2-3 hours, but it is completed. I did solder some of the connections and used heat shrink, just to make sure it works well and lasts.
Installing took looker then showed on video, Green wire going to passenger side needs to be a little longer. The kit had everything needed, could had some selft tarping screws.
Connection was easy and it works great. I wired this to a 7-Pin/4/Pin Plug
If I'm just talking about the product it is very well made well thought about and it makes insulation a charm I learnt my lesson sometime ago with these LED lights some of them you just can't change a bulb and if you hook up straight up to a trailer you get a chance of frying them out and you'll have to replace the whole tail light units these parts you're selling are a must it's not like old school anymore were you can just splice into the tail light wires and get out of my life your product is awesome your service is awesome your delivery is fast finding a product what you need and how you need it your website is unbelievably simple and fast and very knowledgeable in the long run you saved a lot of people a lot of money from being able to find the parts they need without trying to go old-school and just run wires straight through to the tail lights like I said everything's LEDs the car is set up for very low voltage and when you hook up a trailer with old-time bulbs even the trailer would LED bulbs if it's a new trailer you don't want to power a whole trailer by two tail lights you really do need your tail light adapter and insult Power Inn Supply very happy customer mr. Product is working out wonderfully. Quality parts and easy to install with great directions.
This is for a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Latitude. It took me a little extra time as my helper was a 5 ton floor jack and it supported the receiver and if only my right foot had fingers it would have helped a lot. Loading the bolts and plates into the frame was a snap, I left the fish wires on the bolts and that helped a lot and I didn't lose a bolt into the frame, you must leave the exhaust hanging to get to the rear bolt closest to the exhaust curve just before the mufflers I didn't and it was a bear to torque it. Also after I cut the opening on the bottom of the bumper and already had torqued the receiver I had to pry the bottom edge over the receiver there was no other way to get the hitch up inside not enough forward space to get it to slide up and in. Other than that it was a snap.
Now for the wiring harness, went well had a bit of a time getting the connectors up to the tail lights even with all 4 screws out and a little bit of play I had to pry the plastic support away from the body to get the connectors through. That was for the 4 flat, for the power for the harness I have a rig runner 4005 from Powerwerx for all my power as I am a volunteer Fire Fighter and have all the goodies that goes with it and every thing runs fine. For the 5 flat all I had to do was find and take out the backup bulb in the tail light and test to find which wire was hot. And then it was over and done put it all back together and drive away with my trailer. Sorry no picture it looks just like the factory/dealer put it on.

Perfect for adding trailer lights! Plenty of length for our Jeep Cherokee. SIMPLE install, literally took me 20 minutes from start to finish. Quality product, and even comes with wire connectors (not pliers) to attach cables and zip strips to secure harness to chassis.
The harness fit right in with no trouble and functions perfectly!! The installation instructions were well written. I would recommend this harness.

After a year the harness still works like new. I would still recommend this product.
installed myself. all worked fine when hooked up to a trailer. could be improved by having heat shrink connectors. otherwise,ok. bought this unit so as not to have a problem i had with a friend and his trailer blowing fuses in his suv which required towing. worth the extra expense for peace of mind.
The product itself is actually excellent. However the instructions say it takes 35 minutes to install and 3 1/2 hours later my mechanic (very experienced) was just finishing. It was impossible to fish the wire connectors to the tail lights so we had to cut and splice them. Also (and this is a biggie) the setup apparently is not really designed for the 2014 Cherokee Ltd since the hitch bar is too close to the factory dual exhaust pipes. We could not lower the pipes so had to use a torch to cut 'notches' in the hitch bar on both sides to keep the pipes from banging into the hitch rig on even mildly rough roads. I think this is a design flaw that needs to be addressed. Assuming that cutting the notches did not substantially weaken the assembly all turned out well but it was MUCH more tedious than indicated (even when we called to get clarification). Probably much easier on standard Cherokee but on the "Limited" it is a real pain but it does seem to work after all that.
I ordered this vehicle wiring kit for my Jeep because it had more power output than the Curt they offered. Some of the reviews stated that the green wire going to the passenger side was too short so I followed the video instructions, which were excellent by the way, as best I could. The result was that I had about 8 inches extra that I needed to ty off so that the extra length would not hang too far. Follow the video and you should have no problem with insufficient length. The price was very reasonable and shipping was fast. Etrailer is a great company to deal with.
First time customer. I ordered a trailer hitch and wiring harness for my 2014 jeep Cherokee. Very pleased with the quality of the product. The price was outstanding. The directions and website was a big help. It made the job easy. The customer service was great. Very easy to talk to, and helpful. Great job guys. You have my future business.
The wiring harness is high quality and installs fairly easily. It does take some time to remove the light covers and the material in the area of the spare tire but the installation video is really helpful. Take your time and make sure not to rush. Works well.
Product was of excellent quality and easy to install. I didn't use the included directions, but followed a video that I found online. The only thing that kept this from being a 5-star review is the fact that I had to lengthen the green wire (for passenger T-harness) approximately 6" as it was too short to reach.
Other than that, solid product.
I compared the T-One installation instructions to etrailer's installation video "how to" before I bought this harness and I would not have bought the harness if I hadn't seen the video. T-One process requires removing body panels- which I absolutety refuse to do on a brand new vehicle.
The etrailer video is really descriptive, easy to follow and easy to see what tools are needed to do the job- but doesn't say what size tools to use (I didn't have a Torx T10.)
Want too hard to install and it works great so I'm happy!
Works well. Had to have installed professionally for on the 2015 Jeep Cherokee trail hawk the harness will not slide down rear left side after removing brake light. Very tight space back there. After it was installed it has worked perfectly.
Fit my 2017 keep Cherokee latitude. 2.4 l. Pulls my boat with no issues.
I lost parking lights but all other lights work

There are a couple of reasons that could cause the taillights to not function. The wire on the harness that is in control of these lights would be the brown wire [I have a diagram below for your reference]. The first thing that we recommend is to use a wire tester and test the brown wire on the harness to make sure that there is power. You can use part # PTW2993 or part # PTW2992 to test the wiring. We recommend testing the brown wire, and the pin to that wire on the 4-way plug. If those are showing that they are getting power, then you would have to check the wiring on your vehicle to make sure that power is coming from that wiring. Please note that not all vehicles have the standard wiring colors, and so, you will need to check out your owners manual in order to confirm which wire is for the taillights.

Relatively easy install; routed and plugged right into the vehicle's existing connectors. Modified a thing or two during the install for better reliability; definitely not a necessity, just a personal choice. Haven't had any issues so far. Overall great product.
Video instructions were great and easy to follow. Took me a little under 2 hours total. I used wheel ramps to help with accessing the area under the rear bumper, and then on the front wheels to get better access while running the ground wire to the front of the vehicle.
Wish it had mounting bracket for the 4 pin end and the hitch had horizontal for the safety chains instead of vertical
Easy to install and appears to be good quality. I used this as part of several parts to install hitch and brake controller on a 2017 Jeep Cherokee latitude v6. Parts used 118605, C13171, 6927, 7894 and ETBC7.
Everything worked great but the passenger side connection was not long enough to run all the way from the driver's side to the passenger side. I had to splice in a 3 foot splice to make it fit. Other wise everything else fit fine.
I am not certain this is the proper kit for a 2016 Jeep Cherokee - although the website shows it as the correct item.

If you route that wire to the passenger side as shown in the video I linked for you, the connector will just reach the factory taillight connector.
