Does Trailer Wiring for 2017 Jeep Cherokee Void Warranty

Question:

Am told if I use the wiring bundle on a 2017 jeep sport it will void my warranty. can you check this out and comment. I want to install harness but have question about this. I already have bumper hitch installed. thanks

The correct fitting trailer wiring harness for your 2017 Jeep Cherokee Sport is the part # 118605 which I attached an install video for.

There is a law called the Magnussen-Moss warranty act that states, in part, that if you install an aftermarket part on your car then it will not void the warranty unless that part caused the problem.

What's also great about the harness I recommended is that it only uses the taillight circuits of your vehicle as signal wires. It draws the power for the trailer lights from the vehicle battery which protects the circuits from getting damaged. That means it would be incredibly hard for any trailer wiring shorts to damage anything on your Jeep.
