    • Compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole and 7-pole adapters (sold separately)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting, splicing or tapping
    • Locate connection point in rear cargo area
    • Plug in connector
  • Includes ModuLite to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer
  • Protective connection terminals resist corrosion
  • Comes with dust cap for 4-way flat connector
  • 10-Amp mini fuse included

Specs:

  • Maximum amperage:
    • Stop/turn lights: 2.1 amps per circuit
    • Tail lights: 5.6 amps per circuit
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area, either behind the driver's-side trim panel or in the spare tire compartment. You will need to remove some interior paneling to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the connector, insert the provided fuse into the in-line fuse holder.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in your rear cargo area.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

ModuLite Tail Light Converter

A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

Excellent product as usual from etrailer. This is probably the third wiring adapter I’ve brought from etrailer & they’re always plug & play. The only thing that varies is where the connector is located in the vehicle. Luckily Subaru places them in an easy to reach location. Out new 2022 Outback was the easiest yet. The instructions say to “Store the 4-Flat connector in the spare tire compartment when not in use”. I don’t like the idea of it being closed in the tailgate when in use so I run it through an oval I cut in the spare tire well using a grommet and silicone sealant to ensure it says water tight. The extra wiring is secured to the back side of the bumper and just enough lead hanging out to connect to my utility trailer.

It’s been a year now and it still works like a charm with NO issues

2010 Subaru XV Crosstrek

Very nice quality hitch and wiring harness. 24 Subaru Crosstrek. Easy half hour install on the hitch and 10 minute plug and play on the trailer harness. Very helpful folks at etrailer and super fast shipping

by:

Hitch came in great shape! Got the car apart the fist time and the hardware was wrong??. I called customer service and they shipped me the right one very quickly. Hitch went on easily with minor issues. The trailer harness was literally a plug in job works perfect. On the Subaru wilderness I was able to use a straight hitch. Over all very pleased.

2016 Subaru Outback Wagon

Installing this was SO EASY. I am not an electrician or a mechanic and have never modified any car before, but watching the installation video on the website was super helpful and I pretty much couldn't have done it without the video! I installed this in 30 minutes. I bet a person could do it even faster than that if they were more experienced than I am!

by:
2019 Subaru Outback Wagon

Looks good; not installed yet, which will be easy with the quick connector mated to the one provided in the vehicle.

It works fine in our 2019 Outback. It takes patience to fish out the vehicles installed connector if you dont want to remove the interior panel, risking damage to clips, fasteners, etc. But once done, its out of sight, out of mind, and most importantly, out of the way!

by:

Installed hitch and wiring all went as expected a smooth easy install, everything works as advertised , the you tube video made the installation easy and the instructions were clear and understandable. We enjoy E-Trailer , will be ordering again soon . Thanks David

Subaru Outback Wagon

I bought a Curt hitch for my Subaru Outback to allow me to mount a bike rack on it. Therefore I didn't think I'd need the tail light kit when I had it installed. I was wrong.
So adding the light kit later I wanted to install myself if possible. The guys at etrailer.com were great. The kit I thought I needed wasn't quite right for my needs, and they guided me to the proper model. It was inexpensive and easy to install-way easier than I ever imagined. The videos on-line clearly showed to process, and I think I got a professional looking job. Kudos to the etrailer team.

2019 Subaru XV Crosstrek

Very easy install the wiring kit on 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. I watched the e-trailer video first, ordered the part and trim tool in the video. It took 15 minutes to install.

by:
Subaru XV Crosstrek

I purchased this hitch and a wiring harness for my Subaru Crosstrek to haul a small aluminum boat. The installation of the hitch was fairly easy, the lighting harness was easier!
I am quite pleased with the product and would recommend it to friends.

by:

he module in the middle was smaller than my last replacement, which failed (my Forester is getting old and I had a water leak that gets into the area where the module sits, which has since been sealed). The output wires leading to the 4-pin connector are labeled with their function, which helped me splice the existing wiring to the 4-pin connector, since the new harness has no body grommet under the spare tire, and it didn’t appear to be a standard grommet – I realize that would make the part unreturnable, but that was not an issue for me in this case. The bottom line is that the Subaru harness is a lot more expensive, and serves the same purpose, as this one, and the only thing the Subaru harness would add would be that grommet under the spare tire.

by:

The most difficult part of installing this trailer wiring kit was removing all of the junk I accumulated in my rear compartment to access the connector harness.

Once I did it only took like 3 minutes to completely install and put the floor back in place.

It works flawlessly, but here's a little hint - do not allow your trailer 4-pin connector to be stored outside without a rubber insulating boot on ot to prevent corrosion or wasps from making a mud nest inside it. I use aluminum foil wrapped around in and dielectric grease.

Hope this helps.

Subaru Outback Wagon

Fits great under my 2022 Subaru outback. It is hardly noticeable. I definitely would recommend this hitch. Great product for the price.

by:

Best price; best hitch for my vehicle; website easy to navigate and order; excellent diy installation videos; my shipping was free and received my order quickly.

2018 Subaru Forester

well haven't put it in yet but the video tells me it should not be hard. I know i did the trailer hitch for my subaru forester that went easy.

Awesome

by:

The installation process was fast and exactly the way it was described. The wiring harness is exactly as explained and there is plenty of length. It’s perfect for my homegrown jet ski trailer that needed a longer connection. After a year it still looks new.

by:

2020 Subaru Outback XT. Easy to install. Used some silicone sealant to secure the module where it would be out of the way and not liable to be damaged. Works well.

by:
2021 Subaru Forester

rapid delivery. Mechanic said the install went perfectly. I have the bike rack on the hitch and ready to go.

by:

the wiring harness is working well. Spends a lot of time riding around since our towed vehicle is continually used. Initial setup was daunting but we have a great installer Terry's Auto in Fullerton, Ca.

Subaru Outback Wagon

Great 2" hitch for my '23 Subaru Outback Wilderness edition. Very low profile and looks professional & unobtrusive on the vehicle. I was able to install myself in about 2 hours. The installation video on etrailer website is extremely helpful as a step by step guide.

by:
2022 Subaru Forester

Perfect fit and connection! I ordered this for my 2023 Subaru Forester Wilderness edition. MUCH thanks to Ryan and the eTrailer team for the awesome installation video. The installation was plug and play and took me all of five minutes. Because I don't own a trailer, I chose not to pass the wiring through the grommet, leaving it inside the spare tire well to keep it clean and in good shape.

Thanks again eTrailer!

by:

Not your all fault but box came busted up and will have to inventory items and paint the hitch. I don’t know about other areas but UPS here is typically rough on packages

by:
2018 Subaru Outback Wagon

Everything delivered as ordered with easy installation instructions, and working perfectly. The etrailer website was very helpful in selecting what hardware was needed. A bit disappointed the Curt wireless controller doesn’t seat more securely in the 7- way, but the provided safety strap should keep it in place. Would definitely recommend etrailer and will use it again.

Controller works perfectly when in place. I do now use zip ties to hold it securely in 7-way, which is inconvenient but manageable. Would recommend product to anyone, with that caveat.

by:
2022 Subaru Outback Wagon

Love the "no-drill" installation and the fact you can only see the 2" receiver. very clean look unlike other products I see out there. Tow my ATV, boat, trailer, etc with no worries. The trailer connector was an easy plug-in to my vehicle's electrical connection. Videos made the install pretty easy

by:

The installer stated this was the easiest installation he has ever done.
The hitch, and the wiring worked to perfection.
Could not be happier with your product.

by:

Installed pretty well, hardest part was trimming a portion of the bumper for clearance. Only thing i noticed was the hitch inside the receiver has a tad bit of room to move with a trailer being pulled causing noise from the gap. I may try wrapping the hitch with tape to take the gap up. It may be because the hitch sits low on the bumper which causes this not exactly the hitch's design...overall a good hitch system. vehicle connector works great and plugged in easily

  • Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2019 Subaru Crosstrek
For your 2019 Subaru Crosstrek I highly recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467, which will plug right into the factory port that's either located behind the driver's-side trim panel or in the spare tire compartment in the rear cargo area. I like the Tekonsha harnesses because they use a superior converter box that's known for its durability and long lifespan. This will provide you with a fully-functional 4-Way connector to power the basic signal lights on your trailer....

  • Could 4-Way Connector of Tekonsha 4-Way for 2022 Subaru Outback be Routed Through Trunk Floor
We don't have a video that details how to run the 4-way of the # 118467 through the trunk floor as that's not how the harness was intended to be installed. To pull this off you'll need to find a grommet or hole in the truck (you may have to drill one and come up with correct side grommet) and then route the 4-way out of that.

The only exclusion for trailer wiring harness # 118467 is that it will not fit Sport models of the 2013 Subaru Outback Wagon. Installation of the harness should not affect the operation of the camera nor should the camera have any effect on the wiring harness. All 2013 Subaru Outbacks will have the factory connection point.
