Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
Tail Light Converter
A tail light converter is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. The tail light converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

Now about the wiring harness I purchased, that's a whole different story. About a month ago the little converter box shorted out , blew 2 fuses ,caught fire and nearly burned my vehicle. Have only pulled my trailer 5 times. Needless to say I'm not very pleased with that product.
Shipping was a little slow. The Harness was well package. Very easy to install with all the helpful video and Downloadable PDF etc. etrailer.com should be a model for how all Auto Store should operate their website. I installed mines in less that 15mins. The videos are very accurate. The only things that I can say that the space where you slide the harness in between the bumper and light opening after being removed is not that easy because of the big connector adapters but I found a work around and I love shopping at etrailer.com.

Only 30 min To install.... 45 if you have charge your screw gun like me.
Only small issues but still 5 star.
Small issues were;
1. couldn't fit thru factory holes due to inability to fish it thru. Not a design problem.... just didn't want to take bumper cover off. Routed thru gap under light housing and gap between bumper cover, it was a non issue and an easy adjustment. That portion is the time consuming part.
2. Cables are just long enough and places the box just under the drivers light. I found a suitable spot to screw to frame but it could have been longer to make it easier. The sticky tape is just didn't bother with, as it probably wouldn't hold.
Notes about other reviews...
1.Zip ties cost $2 for a pack... need more buy em. The 3 I got were good enough and I only used 2.
2. Sticky tape... just screw mount it and be secure in the fact it staying put.
I ordered the hitch receiver and light kit online. You responded right away and shipped it within just a couple of days and it was delivered a few days later. I appreciated being notified when it shipped, wnen it was expected to be delivered, and gave me tracking to follow it. It was delivered exactly when you said and I had it installed the next day. The installation of both the receiver and lights went smooth. We did refer to your videos for both and appreciate that you have those videos on YouTube. That's how I found out about your company and your products.

Quick and easy installation. The only part that I did not like, was the sticky pad for converter (not sure if this is called that, but the part where all the wires join). I would reinstall the taillights before taping this part down. That's it! Also would recommend getting this because of the clips. Much better than splicing wires to connect the lights up!
Perfect fit on my 2004 Rodeo. Decent build quality and install was quite easy. nice instructions with pictures. Paired this with the 7 pin connector and bracket. Everything works perfectly.
The product was excellent but the delivery was late by 3 days. This has happened before with etrailer where I ordered a trailer hitch and the box was torn in 2 places with big gashes in it. You need to improve your shipping.
This is a time-saving, easy to install product that has my boat trailer lights functioning properly. Only took about 20 mins. to install, the online video was very helpful. Would recommend this product to anyone needing the proper wiring harness for their vehicle.

The product installation was straight forward. Yellow wire set to one side, green to the other. The way they suggest you route it in the video is fine, I suppose, but it seems like there's more metal exposed than I'd like. That exposed metal could abrade the jacketing on the wires. The plugs seems sturdy and replicate the factory plugs exactly. The major downfall is that there just aren't enough zip ties included, and the double sided tape on the box isn't all that tacky.
I don't usually participate in review requests, but on this one I just felt like I had to get the word out. This is the exact same hitch that a major commercial carrier carries and installs. It took a little longer than the recommended instal time but it worked and saved me over $170.00! etrailer provides you with all of the installation tools to install this product. I wouldn't think twice about using them again!

Very easy to install. It fits right in to my 2" hitch. Slide the locking pin thru the hole and snap the other pin in place. Done!
