Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 1999 Honda Passport with Door-Mounted Spare Tire
Question:
can Curt hitch part # C13222 be install on a 1999 Honda passport with the spare mounted on the rear door? I know its compatible with a spare tire underneath. Is it compatible both with spare tire on the door and underneath? I want to use part # C13222 on the passport with the spare on the rear door instead of the Curt hitch part # C13235.

No, Curt trailer hitch # C13222 will not fit the 1999 Honda Passport with the door mounted spare tire, it only fits models with the spare tire stowed under the vehicle. For models like yours that have the door mounted spare you can use Curt trailer hitch # C13235.
To complete your towing set up I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It includes 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. And for trailer wiring use # 118360. I have linked a video showing how the wiring installs on a similar vehicle.
