Lights for towing a 1998 Isuzu Amigo Behind My Motorhome
Question:
I have a motorhome and I tow a 1998 Amigo. I have been using the magnetic portable light hookup from the motorhome to the Amigo. Is this part 118360 what I need to hook up the lights from my motorhome to the tow vehicle? Thanks.

You will need a wiring kit to control the vehicle lights while in tow, the kit you selected is for towing a trailer with the Amigo not for towing the Amigo behind your RV. You can use the #38955 tail light isolating kit which will wire to the vehicle tail lights, and you will need a converter # 118158 because your vehicle has separate turn and brake lights. Another option is to use the light kit with bulbs, RM-155 which will use a separate bulb in the tail light housing and will eliminate splicing into the Amigo wiring, but will require the room in the taillight for the bulb to be mounted. After a little work you will be happy to just plug and go without the magnetic lights to deal with any longer. Below I have posted links to the items mentioned above and to a video on installing the taillight isolating diode system.
