Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo

Question:

I have a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo LS with a V6 and RWD. It does have the under-body spare tire. I tried to get a hitch installed on my vehicle about 5 years ago, but was told my vehicle wasnt designed for one. Is this true? Im guessing it may have something to do with the power of the engine, or because I dont have AWD. I dont plan on towing anything big, just a pop-up camper or a small fishing boat. Would this trailer hitch be ok?

The Draw-Tite Hitch # 75093 that you referenced would work well on your 2002 Isuzu Rodeo as long as it has an under vehicle wheel spare. If you have a door mounted spare you would want a Curt Hitch # C13235.

You should check your owners manual for the towing capacities of your vehicle and make sure not to exceed them. When determining the overall towing capacity of a setup you should always go with the lowest rated component in your setup as the overall towing capacity.
