You can certainly do that, but you'll need to run a circuit to the vehicle's positive battery terminal to provide power for the trailer brakes.
In addition to the Curt # C51180 Echo Wireless Brake Controller, I'd recommend using the # ETBC7L 4-Pole Upgrade Kit which includes a 4-pole to 7-way adapter, as well as all the wire, hardware and the circuit breaker needed to make that connection at the battery.

We actually have a decent amount of wiring kits that you can install on your 2006 Mini Cooper to flat tow it.
If you plan on flat towing it frequently then installing a tail light wiring kit like the Roadmaster # RM-155 which uses a 4-Way to the motorhome or the Roadmaster # RM-152-LED-7 which uses a 7-Way to your motorhome is what I recommend using.
