I checked the owner's manual for your 2014 Honda CR-V and your vehicle can be flat towed even though it is FWD. To get you started you'll need 5 items:
1. Base plate kit, a base plate kit is used to to connect the tow bar to the vehicle you're about to tow. I recommend the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # RM-521567-4 which has removeable arms for ease of installation and removal.
2. Next, you will need a good set of tow bars, the Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain # RM-576 is a great choice that boasts a non binding design that allows you to release your vehicle at any time, even on unlevel ground.
3. Next, you'll need some wiring the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 will provide you with all the wiring needed, including a 7 way to 6 way wire to connect the toad vehicle to the tow vehicle.
4. Additionally, you will need a proportional breaking system, the Brake Buddy Select 3 # HM39524 is a great choice because it gives you the ability to remove when not in use.
5. Finally, your vehicle's owner's manual states that you need to remove the 7.5 Amp accessory radio fuse before towing. In order to not have to remove this fuse every time you want to tow, the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicle # RM76512 will give you the ability to leave the fuse in place and bypass it by simply flipping a switch.
