Although the lighting systems of trailers are usually less sophisticated than those cars use, it is possible to use a LED lamp like # STL79RB on your Sequoia.
Your Sequoia should be equipped with a 7-way trailer connector. The wiring harness that feeds it is where you'll tap in to wire up the extra lamps. Use a circuit tester like part # PTW2992 to probe the wires in the harness leading to the connector. Have a helper activate the left turn signal. Probe the wires until you find the wire... view full answer...
The chain hangar brackets on the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System, part # RP66082 will attach to the frame at approximately 30 inches from the center of the trailer coupler to the center of the brackets. These brackets do install over the top of the frame. I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Reese WD system and a link to a video of a Reese WD system being installed. It will show how to measure to install the chain hangars.

Yes, the boost feature can be turned off on the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885. To do so simply press the boost button(small blue button to upper right of screen). The first time you press the button it will tell you the current level of boost you are running. By pressing the button again you will advance it to the next level (b.1,b.2,b.3) until you reach boost off (b.).
Unfortunately there is no way to say a specific brake setting number as every vehicle and trailer... view full answer...
You don't NEED a plug and play adapter to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 in your 2020 Toyota SequoiaTRD Pro but it certainly makes it easier and eliminates the need to cut off or splice into factory wires. You'll want to use the # 3040-P to plug into the factory brake controller plug in under the dash and install the P3 without any splicing necessary.
I've linked a video of the installation in a similar Sequoia; the year isn't the same but the process will be the same so you... view full answer...
I took a look at the installation instructions for the Firestone Coil-Rite Air Springs part # F4164 for your 2010 Toyota Sequoia. It does show that the air line should be at the bottom of the air spring when installed.
I spoke with another Expert about the instructions and they told me that they called Firestone and was told that if you are able to install the Coil-Rite with the air line at the top it would not make a difference in the performance.
If you have a kink in the line or... view full answer...
Yes, you can use the custom Mounting Panel for the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite, part # 331-TPSI-002, to install your brake controller # RED44FR in your Sequoia. This panel is shown installed in the photo I linked for you. Depending on the exact spot where you choose to install the control know you may not need the plate.
You can refer to the linked video to see an installation. view full answer...
Since you have the 4-way flat installed, I would recommend you install the brake controller 7 & 4 way installation kit, part # ETBC7. This kit includes all of the extra wires, circuit breakers and connectors needed to complete the installation of a 7-Way at the rear of your Sequoia while still retaining the use of the 4-way flat.
The 4-way will plug into the back of the # ETBC7 and there will be 4 wires left to hardwire to the vehicle. White grounds to the vehicle frame. Purple goes to... view full answer...
Apparently the skid plate on the 2007 Toyota Sequoia will interfere with the proper installation and placement of front mount trailer hitch # 65031. You might be able to modify it and reinstall it but I cannot confirm that. The installation instructions are the same for the Tundra and Sequoia and if there was a difference, such as the skid plate having to be removed on one and not the other, they would specify it in the instructions. view full answer...
I went out to the warehouse and pulled the E-Track Wood Beam Socket, # 59149, and I produced a short video showing the dimensions of the E-Track Wood Beam Socket and took some close up video so you can see how the wood beam socket works.
There are 4 holes in the socket for attachment to 2X lumber. The two holes on the bottom are centered and positioned at 1/2 inch and 1-3/4 inches in from the inside of the bracket. The two holes in each side of the bracket are positioned at 1-1/8 inch... view full answer...
The brake controller harness on your 2005 Toyota Sequoia can be accessed by removing the kick plate near your emergency brake. The harness itself will be tucked up, and should be taped to another harness near the fuse block.
The installation video for the 2008 Toyota Sequoia shows in detail how to find the plug.
If you do not already have a brake controller, I would recommend the brake controller # 90885 and the correct wiring harness is # 3040-P, as it will offer a simple, plug-in installation.

For the Draw-Tite front mount hitch, # 65031, the skid plate will have to be permanently removed to install the hitch. You would also need to drill two holes in the frame rails (one on each side for the rear most hitch attachment points). I have included a link to the installation details and a video install on a similar vehicle below.
I spoke with my contact at Curt about their front mount hitch, # 31180. To install it, you will not have to remove the skid plate. You will need to enlarge... view full answer...
The Tow-Rax Wall Mounted Folding Table # TWSP45HFTA is only available in the size of 45-1/2" long x 18-1/2" wide.
There are several ways you could mount this, but the recommended mounting hardware is part # TWSP30BK.

I reached out to my contact at K-Source to confirm that the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors w/ Turn Signals - Electric, Heated - Pair # KS70103-04T does have the slightly convex mirror on the passenger side that makes objects appear farther away. This is why many factory mirrors have "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" printed on that passenger side mirror.
These mirrors will work much like factory vehicle mirrors, just with the extended/expanded view. view full answer...
The harness that Tekonsha used to have available that fit the P2 part # 90885 to your 2005 Toyota Sequoia was the part # 3040-P but it is currently unavailable so what you would need to to is adapt the # C51362 from Curt by cutting off the end and wiring it to the universal harness that came with the P2. view full answer...
The felt strip of the CIPA Towing Mirror part # CM11301 that you referenced would not permanently attach to the mirror of the vehicle. When you remove the tow mirror from the vehicle the felt would come off of the vehicle as well.

From our experience the brake controller connector on a Toyota Sequoia is pretty tucked away. It's in a similar location as to the Tundra video you watched but harder to find. Take a look at the video I linked of the 2008 Sequoia, it's the same generation as your 2013. The connector is behind the driver's side kick panel next to the emergency brake pedal but it's tucked pretty high up behind a bundle of wires that are all taped up. view full answer...
The description does mention an axle, but the principle is the same. Basically, right next to the rear coil springs on the 2011 Toyota Sequoia, there is a factory bump stop. You will remove the factory bump stop and install the Timbren system, # TTORSEQ1 in its place. That is the extent of the installation. I have included a link to our FAQ article on Timbren systems for you. view full answer...
The short answer is nothing prevents water from going into vent # HMAV2-AVT2. If you have the opening facing down some water may trickle in at higher speeds but it would not be like a continuous misty spray.
I believe that the way you want to install these vents would work well, especially considering that you will also be adding a roof vent. While I have not personally seen anyone install these vents in this manner, there really is no right or wrong way to install them and your way is... view full answer...
Trailer brake controllers such as the Prodigy P2 # 90885 have a manual override lever that allows you to activate the trailer brakes without pressing the vehicle brake pedal. This feature is primarily used in the initial set-up of the controller to help you select power and boost settings but the manual switch can be slid to the left anytime a gentle brake input is needed, such as for correcting minor trailer sway or simply testing the brakes. Instead of a gradual ramp-up of brake power... view full answer...
According to one of our contacts at Tekonsha, the Tekonsha Wiring Adapter, part # 3040-P, for the 2005 Toyota Sequoia, does utilize the ground connection in the factory plug under the dash, but Toyota used a very small gauge wire in the plug. In order to ensure a proper ground connection and reliable brake operation, a separate ground lead is used as well.
The brake controller harness on your 2005 Toyota Sequoia can be accessed by removing the kick plate near your emergency brake. The... view full answer...
