All of the hitches for a 2020 Ford Edge require the exhaust to be lowered. It sounds more complicated than it really is. You have to disconnect the rubber hangers that hold the exhaust up to get behind them and install the hitch. The muffler and tail pipes just hang down a few inches while you're doing this. You don't ever remove them from your vehicle.

When the Curt Class III 2 Inch Hitch, part # C13067, is installed on a 2011 Ford Edge SEL the hitch receiver opening is located right under the rear fascia.
