The highest capacity hitch for your 2023 Ford Edge is going to be the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # 75234. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Ford with included hardware. It fits all models of the 2023 Edge.
The Draw-Tite item # 75234 is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver that weighs 35 lbs. It has a 4,500 lbs towing capacity, and a 675 lbs maximum tongue weight. It is also compatible with a weight distribution system.
I really like this hitch because the cross tube mounts behind your rear bumper cover leaving only the 2" x 2" receiver exposed. It is perfect for hauling a trailer or any hitch mounted accessories like cargo carriers or bike racks.
I have linked a couple of pictures below along with an installation video so you can see what this hitch looks like when installed.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # 118805 for the standard model or item # C73FR for the Titanium model and a ball mount kit item # C45534. The light harnesses have different connectors so make sure you don't select the wrong one. I have linked an installation video for both below.
To attach a 4-way wiring harness to the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 75234 you will want to use the Mounting Bracket for 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # BK4F. This bracket will attach to the pre drilled tab on the Draw-Tite hitch. None of the 4-way wiring harnesses for any vehicle include this bracket.
