  • Recommended Class U Tire Chains for 2011 Mercedes Sprinter Dually
  • Using the part # PWE2219SC that you referenced would provide 1 pair of chains to cover two single tires. If you wanted chains on all four rear tires, part # PWE4219SC would be a better choice for dual wheels. You would need one set for each side. Should you follow the advice of Mercedes and chain all four rear tires, or just two of them? That will have to be up to your discretion. Having all four rear tires chained up will provide superior traction versus having chains on two tires. As...

  • Recommended Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier Compatible With Bike Rack
  • There is one spare tire mount made for an application like this. It is the Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier w/ 2" Receiver Opening - 2" Hitches # RM-195225. This will give you a spare tire holder that can swing down for easier removal and will give you a 2 inch receiver for a bike rack. I recommend using a lock like # e98892 to secure your spare and a hitch lock like # BD580402 to secure your accessory. For a bike rack, I recommend the Swagman Dispatch 2 Bike Platform Rack...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Towing Setup For 2003 Freightliner Sprinter 2500 158" Wheelbase
  • I am not sure why the RV dealer you went to said you could not safely install a trailer hitch receiver on your 2003 Freightliner Springer 2500 Van with the 158" wheel base and factory step bumper, as the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75210 was specifically designed for your van and is a confirmed fit. You will however want to check the owner's manual of your Sprinter to find its towing capacity, and use the lower rating between the hitch and...

  • Recommended Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2014 Freightliner Sprinter 3500 DRW 170" Wheelbase
  • I have an option for you, but both the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13388 and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75549 which are confirmed to fit your 2014 Freightliner Sprinter 170" wheelbase Dual Rear Wheel will stick out slightly past the non-step rear bumper as you can see in the included pictures. Between the two I recommend the Curt # C13388 since it has a 10000lb trailer weight rating and 1000lb tongue weight...

  • Tire Chains for a Freightliner M2106 with 11-R22.5 Tires
  • We do have some tire chains that will fit your 11-22.5 tires, but none of the Thule chains will fit. You can use any of the following chains: For single wheels (it is permissible to have chains just on one of the wheels on a dually wheel set on each side): # PWE2247S # PWE2247SC # PWH2247SC # PWH2847SC # PWH3275SC # PWE2448S For both tires on dually wheels: # PWE4247SC # PWE4247S # PWH4247SCHD # PWH4247SC # PWH4847SC

  • Backup Alert for a 2010 Freightliner Sprinter 2500
  • I did a little research and your 2010 Frieghtliner Sprinter 2500 uses a 7506 reverse light bulb. We do not have a bulb replacement with backup alert for the 7506 bulb but I do have a solution for you. Take a look at Surface Mount Back-up Alarm # BK97DB. You can mount this guy under the vehicle and wire it into a reverse light circuit. It will be louder at 97 decibels and more effective compared to the replacement bulb type. I have included a link to a video showing an installation for you.

  • Can a RV with Air Brakes Have an Electric Brake Controller Installed
  • That's actually what we recommend the most for people towing trailers with electric brakes that have tow vehicles with air brakes. Installing a P2 part # 90885 will allow you to totally bypass having to interface with the air system and will work very well. Hardwiring a brake controller isn't too difficult. It basically is just a matter of running a few wires. One to the positive post of the battery, one to the ground, one to the trailer connector, and then one to the stoplight circuit. I...

  • Suspension Enhancement for 2014 Freightliner Sprinter Bluetec 2500
  • The SumoSprings kit part # SSR-338-54 that you referenced would do a great job removing the sag of your 2014 Freightliner Sprinter BlueTec 2500 when loaded. Installation is pretty easy too so you'd have no problem with that.

  • 2003 Newmar Country Starr Trailer Hitch Recommendation
  • I have a solution for you but the Curt Hitch part # 14250 that you looked at has bees custom designed for the small Sprinter chassis. Instead you want to use the DrawTite Multi-Fit Motor Home Trailer Hitch part # 82201 this is designed to fit frame widths between 47" and 71" which will match up to your frame perfectly. There are no custom fit options available for your 2003 Newmar Kountry Starr available. This hitch will connect to the frame using the supplied hardware or by having it welded...

  • Recommended Tire Chains For 2003 Freightliner Sprinter With 225/75R16 Tires
  • I checked out the owner's manual for your 2003 Sprinter and found that snow tire chains can only be used on the rear tires. There is no mention that Class S chains are required. For the tire size you said you have on your Freightliner I recommend the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains, part # TC2519. These are easily installed and have built-in tensioners. I have attached a link to a product review video for these chains you can check out.

  • Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2006 Fleetwood Class A Ford F-53 Motorhome
  • According to Fleetwood, the factory port or plug for a brake controller on the Ford F-53 chassis is coiled underneath the dash. Look for a 5 pin gray connector. I believe if you look in the center console area (right of the steering column) and up under the dash it will be there. The correct brake controller harness you would need is the part # 3034-P. Nearly all brake controllers would work, there is nothing about your vehicle that would prevent a brake controller from being installed....

  • Can a 10,000 Pound Trailer Hitch be Installed on a 2015 Allegro RED RV on Freightliner Chassis
  • If the Freightliner chassis is a Sprinter then none of the hitches available, see link, are rated for 10,000 pounds. They max out at 7,500 when using weight distribution. You will also want to consult the vehicle owners manual for the towing capacity because it the vehicle is not rated for 10,000 pounds it won't matter if a hitch is rated that high. You always go by the lowest rated component in the system. If the vehicle can handle 10,000 pounds then you will have to get a weld-on truck...

  • Brake Controller Recommendations for Allegro Red Motorhome
  • A proportional controller is an excellent choice for safe, predictable braking. If you've never used a controller before, I'd recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, part # 90195. The display and controls are very user-friendly and the controller is very highly rated by our customers. The Prodigy P2, part # 90885 is also a good option, still highly rated and easy to use, but the display isn't quite as user friendly as the P3. Any faults in the trailer brake system are displayed as error codes,...

  • Brake Controller Recommendation and Install on a 2008 Freightliner Sprinter
  • We don't have a custom harness available for installing a Tekonsha P3 part # 90195 to the connector on your 2008 Freighliner. That would be something you would need to get from Freightliner, or you could just remove the green plug and hardwire the controller to it assuming it is the brake controller install port. You would need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to determine the functions of the wires and then connect the controller to them as needed. The red wire of controller...

  • Parts Needed to Install a 7-Way and Brake Controller in a 2002 freightliner Sprinter
  • First you will need to start with a 4-way. For that you would want the part # C59496. See installation instructions and install video I attached. That will give you a 4-way that you can then convert into a 7-way. For everything needed to convert your 4-way to a 7-way and install your brake controller you would need the part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for you to check out for this as well.

  • Skid Wheel Recommendation for Hitch Installed on a 2012 Freightliner Sprinter
  • The best solution I could make for you would be to have the Ultra Fab Micro Roller Skid Wheel part # UF48-979021 welded to the bottom of your hitch opening. This would work great with the Draw Tite Hitch part # 75549 that you have on your 2012 Freightliner Sprinter with a 170 inch wheelbase.

  • High Capacity Multi-Fit Hitch Recommendation for a 2008 Itasca Sunrise IFF32H
  • We have some multi-fit hitches available that could work for your 2008 Itasca Sunrise IFF32H class-A motorhome but we don't have any custom fit hitches that would bolt right up. The Multi-Fit hitch part # 41990 could work well for you. This hitch has a 16k capacity requires either the 7 inch drop brackets part # 4907 or the 16 inch brackets part # 4916. You would need to measure from the frame down on your vehicle to determine which brackets would be the best fit for you.
