Parts Needed to Install a 7-Way and Brake Controller in a 2002 freightliner Sprinter
Question:
I work with Dustin and he recommended I contact you about trailer wiring harness questions I have regarding my 2002 Freightliner Sprinter. It does not have any factory trailer wire harness and would like to install a 7-way connector and trailer brake controller. I have Tekonsha brake controller that I used in a vehicle previously that I plan on using. What products does etrailer offer for my application? Will I need to purchase the factory harness with the 7-way connector from the dealership? Thank you in advance for your help.

First you will need to start with a 4-way. For that you would want the part # C59496. See installation instructions and install video I attached.
That will give you a 4-way that you can then convert into a 7-way. For everything needed to convert your 4-way to a 7-way and install your brake controller you would need the part # ETBC7.
I attached installation instructions and an install video for you to check out for this as well.
