Using a multimeter can be tricky sometimes, which is why we recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993. This tester has a light in it and lights up when voltage is detected. I cannot verify the specific color for the brake switch wire you need. Wiring colors change frequently, and I would not want to give you false information. The rubber part you are referring to is the isolator which attaches the bracket from the frame to the metal hanger welded on the exhaust.

To provide the converter you already have with a 5-pole connector, you have two choices. You can use and adapter, like part # 20036. The blue wire on the adapter would tap into the circuit that feeds the reverse lights on your Sienna.
