Installing and Removing a Hollywood Over-The-Top Bike Carrier on a 2012 Toyota Sienna
Question:
Once the rack has been fitted to the vehicle, how difficult is it to remove and replace? Im wondering if I can use this to mount a 50 pound bag of camping gear to the back of the car for transport, rather than using a roof box. It looks like we would need to take it off the car while camping, to give us access through the rear hatch. .

The Hollywood Over-the-Top bike carrier # HRF2 could probably handle the weight just fine but installation of anything but bikes could cause damage to your vehicle and most likely void the warranty.
A option I would consider is the Rightline cargo hatch saddlebag # RL100B90 because it's aerodynamic and rests on the backside of your 2012 Toyota Sienna. The carrying capacity is 13 cubic feet and weight capacity is 100 pounds. I think you will really like this option because of the easy loading and access not to mention it's waterproof.
Have fun camping!!
I included a couple videos and informative article for you too.
