Difficulty of Trailer Hitch Installation on 2015 Toyota Sienna
Question:
I have a question about installation difficulty.. Which is easier to install... 4 out of 10... Or 9 out of 10 Sorry... That may seem like a dumb question... I think 4 out of 10, but just wanted to make sure I was looking at that correctly.

It's not a dumb question, no worries.
Our install difficulty ratings are based on a scale of 1 through 10 with 1 being a very simple install that just about everyone could handle with no difficulty and 10 being very difficult, something probably best left to a professional for most folks.
Take hitches for the 2015 Toyota Sienna for example. The Curt # C13105 is of slightly lower than average difficulty. If you're comfortable using hand tools, you can most likely handle it. The Draw-Tite # 76112 is on the other end of the spectrum with a difficulty rating of 9 which is pretty difficult.
The primary difference between the hitches is that the Draw-Tite model will be mostly concealed behind the rear bumper and fascia after it's installed, with the exception of the receiver tube and the safety chain loops. The install requires some trimming of underbody panels and temporary removal of the bumper fascia. The Curt model will be fully visible and will require some trimming but you won't need to remove the bumper fascia, which makes it quite a bit easier.
I've linked to installation instructions and videos for both hitches, you can look them over and decide if the install is something you'd feel comfortable attempting yourself.
