The Curt # C23FR has been confirmed as a fit on the Hybrid models of the 2020 Escape.
If you're going to be towing with your Escape you'll also need a wiring harness, ball mount and hitch ball. For a wiring harness, the Tekonsha # TE54FR is the only wiring harness we have confirmed for your 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid, but will do a good job. We've generally found that these Tekonsha harnesses are the most reliable wiring we offer and the powered converter really holds up well over time. This... view full answer...
The main problem with using the adapter is that it will lower the tongue weight capacity of your Class II hitch by 50 percent, from 300 lbs to 150 lbs. The weight of the rack itself plus the weight of 4 bicycles would exceed this amount, likely causing damage to the hitch and the vehicle, and possibly the loss of the rack and bicycles during transport, which would be VERY bad.
Because we do not offer a platform-style rack with a 4 bike capacity that is compatible with a Class II receiver,... view full answer...
Thule does list the OutWay 2 # TH45JV, as a fit for a 2011 Ford Escape. I have also included a link to all of the trunk mount bike racks that will fit your Escape. The OutWay is the rack I recommend because the retractable cables make installation and removal of the rack fast and easy.
If you will be carrying women's, children's, or alternative frame bikes I recommend using the Bike Adapter Bar, # TH982XT, in order to carry the bikes more level. I have included a link to a video that shows... view full answer...
The Malone FoldAway-J Kayak Carrier # MAL98FR will fit onto the Inno Aero Crossbars # INXB130-2 just fine. The Malone carrier fits crossbars up to 3-1/2" wide and up to 1-1/2" tall; since the Inno bars measure 3-1/8" tall and 1-1/8" wide, you will not have an issue with this setup. I attached a demonstration video for you. view full answer...
I was unable to find any type of reference to a wiring harness with the part number of 58592; however, yes, you would be able to also use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118551 on your 2009 Ford Escape.
I have added a link to a video for you to check out as an example of how you would go about doing this which you can see at about the 2:00 mark. view full answer...
The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 2 Axles - Proportional # C51180 does not require any wiring and will not experience interference from RF since it uses Bluetooth technology. The brake controller plugs in line with your 7-way trailer connection and is operated using your smartphone.
As for your old Tekonsha Prodigy RF, I would recommend removing it so you don't have to figure out how to secure the unused 8 foot 7-way cable. It is attached with 4 screws so it should... view full answer...
Since you do not have a hitch on your Ford Escape you can use a trunk bike rack. Thule and Yakima will both have two choices each that will carry two bikes and fit a Ford Escape.
The Thule Passage 2 Bike Carrier, # TH910XT, will fit on a Ford Escape. It has a weight capacity of 70 lbs. and attaches to the vehicle by six straps for added stability..
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend... view full answer...
Yes, the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75758 is a fit for a 2018 Ford Escape Titanium with the hands-free liftgate sensor. The sensor will still work though you will need to kick your foot on either side of the hitch receiver as opposed to the center.
I do recommend taking a look at the Draw-Tite # 75782 over the aforementioned hitch because it has a concealed crosstube as opposed to it being exposed, which not only keeps the rear of your '18 Escape looking clean, but it is also going to... view full answer...
We do have exactly what you are wanting - a trailer hitch receiver for your 2016 Ford Escape that does uses the existing holes, has a completely concealed crosstube, and does not require you to cut your rear bumper whatsoever. The hitch that fits is from Draw-Tite:
- Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75782
I have added a photo of the # 75782 installed on a '16 Escape so you can see that it has a hidden crosstube and only the receiver shows. This hitch also has the best ground... view full answer...

The first year we have parts and hitches for Ford Escapes is 2001. They may have been released at the end of 2000 but the first model year in our system is 2001. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C13506.
The Curt Hitch item # C13506 is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and a 350 lbs maximum tongue weight that can be increased to 5,000 lbs and 500 lbs when used with a weight distribution hitch. This hitch is made in the USA and weighs 31 lbs.

Assuming that wire you found is a 12 volt circuit that is fuse protected like you mentioned you certainly could use it to charge the tow vehicle with the # RM-156-75. You should note that the charge circuit of a 7-way is actually the 1:00 pin of the connector as you are facing it. view full answer...

Yes, the Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch # 13650 that you referenced is confirmed to fit and will work great on your 2006 Ford Escape. There are a few different transmissions models for the 2020 Ford Escape SE AWD so you will need to refer to your owner's manual to ensure you have the correct transmission to flat tow your vehicle and ensure you're following all necessary steps to get your vehicle flat tow ready. If you are capable of flat towing you'll need a tow bar, base plate, tow bar wiring kit, braking system, and safety cables. I have the following recommendations for you below:
Tow Bar: Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain,... view full answer...
I just confirmed with Curt. Depending on which model of hybrid your 2022 Ford Escape is the Curt item # C23FR will fit. The hitch will fit the standard hybrid models, but it will not fit the PHEV, or plug-in models. I have linked an installation video.
If you need a wiring harness I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # TE54FR. view full answer...
I believe you are referring to the Titanium model of the 2018 Ford Escape. I tried looking up the Platinum model but I could only find references to the Titanium model.
The reason why the trunk mount options seem limited for your 2018 Ford Escape could be the result of a few different things. The first is that you do have a newer vehicle (June 2018) so the other manufacturers just may not have been able to test fit a 2018 Escape yet, or they did some testing and they didn't feel comfortable... view full answer...
Yes, the Draw Tite hitch part # 75751 does fit your 2011 Ford Escape that has the factory hitch and a full size spare so it would work great for you. It will make the install easier if you temporarily drop the spare but it will go back up once the hitch is installed. view full answer...
As the 2012 Ford Escape does not appear to have originally come with a full size spare tire, I cannot say with 100% certainty. However, I can supply some rough measurements of the wheels that would usually come with this vehicle as a comparison, which may help answer your question.
The spare that would typically be included would have a 145/90R17 tire size. This size tire has a rough diameter of 27.5 inches and a width of 5.7 inches.
The stock tire size a 2012 Escape came with looks to... view full answer...
Draw-Tite hitch # 75118 will fit your 2002 Ford Escape XLS. It is the most popular hitch option for your vehicle. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation and a link to the instructions for you.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. For trailer wiring use # 118343. I have linked instructions and a video for the wiring as well. view full answer...
