Trailer Hitch With Hidden Crosstube For 2016 Ford Escape That Does Not Require Cutting Bumper
Question:
Im interested in a trailer hitch for a 2016 Ford Escape SE w/ 2 hitch opening. According to your website, there are 4 models available. Im looking for one that is like the factory one uses existing holes, hidden and no cutting of rear bumper. Which model would most fit that? And I did notice they bolt in using existing holes, but most importantly I do not want one that hangs down, is visible from behind. Thanks for your time.

We do have exactly what you are wanting - a trailer hitch receiver for your 2016 Ford Escape that does uses the existing holes, has a completely concealed crosstube, and does not require you to cut your rear bumper whatsoever. The hitch that fits is from Draw-Tite:
- Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75782
I have added a photo of the # 75782 installed on a '16 Escape so you can see that it has a hidden crosstube and only the receiver shows. This hitch also has the best ground clearance for your Escape and will not interfere at all with the Hands-Free Lift Gate feature (if you have that).
The only other thing I wanted to mention, in case you were going to be using this hitch for towing, is that if you also need a 4-flat wiring harness, the correct fit (and mounting bracket) for your '16 Escape are the Mounting Bracket # 18144 and T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118566.
