Brake magnets are not polarity sensitive so you can have either wire be the positive as long as the other is grounded and they will function just fine.

It is possible it's the breaker that's bad and you'd need the replacement part # LC134181 but you can test this actually pretty easily. Bypass the breaker by running the wires on each post of it to each other and if it goes back to working it's the breaker. Based on what you described I would assume this is the problem. Welcome back! If you're not seeing any visual defects in the gooseneck ball portion of the Gen-Y Gooseneck Hitch item # GY55XR then it just needs to be broken in. It'll loosen up once this happens and you won't have to worry about it getting stuck. It does require lubrication though so I would throw some white lithium grease like item # L11354 into the gooseneck hole.

Hey Bob, when just the power and ground is connected on a brake actuator like the Dexter DX part # K71-651 you won't hear the unit prime itself. It would do this once a connection to trailer brakes is made which would be the blue wire that runs to the trailer brakes.

First I recommend testing the 4-way on a different trailer otherwise you could use a Tester # I26 or Test Light # PTW2993 to verify the issue is not with the Curt 4-Way # C56325 or your 2020 Chevrolet Blazer.

No, problem Tim! Happy to help! Regardless of what hitch you go with you're going to be limited by your Telluride's tongue weight capacity, which is the downward pressure put on the hitch. I looked yours up and a 2023 Kia Telluride tops out at 500 lbs. It is common amongst hitch manufacturer's to overrate their hitches.
