Is There 7-Way Tester For Volvo With Factory Trailer Wiring

Question:

Ive got the factory installed 2021 Volvo XC-90 hitch and harness w/ 7 pin connector. The vehicle uses a module to sense load for activate power to the connector. My LED 7 pin tester wont work since the LEDs do not put enough load on the module to activate power to all 7 pin. does eTrailer have a tester that can be used with modular connected 7 pin trailer connections like mine? Thank you.

Hi Al,

There is not a standalone 7-way tester that works with your Volvo with the factory trailer wiring. This is a pretty common problem with these vehicles so what you would need to do is use a standard 7-way tester like # C66NR but also add the 7-Way Trailer Adapter for Towing Trailers with LED Lights # C57003.
