The weight and length of the e-bike definitely complicates things when you have a Class I 1-1/4 hitch, but it is not impossible. We currently do not have a hanging style bike rack that can handle your e-bike, though.

We do indeed offer Class III hitches for your 2016 Mazda CX-9. I'd recommend the Draw-Tite Class III, part # 76020 which IS a confirmed fit. With the exception of the receiver opening and the safety chain loops, the majority of the hitch will be concealed behind the rear bumper.

Prior to purchasing a ball mount for your vehicle, check the coupler on your boat trailer. The ball size should be stamped into the metal somewhere on the coupler. Having three J-Style kayak carriers up on your roof will be rather hard to load. If you were to go the J-Style Carrier Route # e98878 I could have the ones on the outside facing away each other and the middle one facing either way. With the J-Style carrier set up you'll have to lift your kayaks over the carrier every time. The only thing you need to convert the 4-way trailer connector on a 2019 Mazada CX-9 to a 7-way trailer connector is an adapter and the actual brake controller to control the brakes. For this, I recommend the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7L and the Curt Echo Mobile Brake Controller part # C51180. Adding a hitch extender will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent so I do not recommend it. I am sure you have tried different pedal positions and if nothing is working then a different rack may be the way to go.

I would try to install the No-Drill Mount for Electrical Mounting Bracket part # 18140 on the underside of your Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76138, similar to what you see in the attached photo. The bracket may also need to be bent down some towards the ground. This is a universal bracket so there may need to be some slight modifications in order to make this work for you.
