Yes, whether you plan on using the Pollak Single-Pole # PK11852 (which is geared more towards winches) or the 7-Way Round RV Style Trailer Connector - Trailer Side # A7WCB (which is recommended for a travel trailer), you will not only connect the power wire but you also need to have a ground connection as well. The single pole connector has a ground connection on top of it while the 7-Way has a pin designated for the ground (see attached picture). view full answer...
I called my contact at Superchips and asked about the Flashpaq F4 Performance Tuner, part # SU1845. They told me this system does not monitor transmission oil temperature.
They told me that the Edge Insight, part # EP84030 has the Transmission Fluid Temp display but it depends on whether your vehicle sends that information through the OBD-ll port the unit is plugged into. You can contact your dealership to see if that information is available or not. The # EP84030 is a monitor only and... view full answer...
The Curt Echo, part # C51180, runs on Apple devices with iOS 8 or higher. That's actually pretty old dating all the way back to the iPhone 4S so your iPhone 7's and your 6th generation iPad won't have any issues at all.
As long as your 2018 Ford Expedition has a 7-way trailer connector and the 12 volt pin works then you won't need to do anything to the vehicle to use the Echo. view full answer...
This front-mount hitch receiver, part # 31352, is the correct specified part for your 2005 Ford Expedition 4WD. I spoke to my contact at Curt Manufacturing regarding the third mounting hole, which evidently is missing from your Expedition.
I am told that although this does not happen often, on occasion the vehicle manufacturer may omit the step of punching this third mounting hole. If your expedition lacks this third hole you will need to drill the frame rails.
You should temporarily... view full answer...
It sounds like you are trying to play music though your stereo via Bluetooth while also using the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 to control your trailer brakes. If that is the case then this is more a feature of your phone than the Curt Echo. I spoke with Curt and they said they have been able to stream both Pandora as well as use the Curt Echo but this will really come down to the capability of your smartphone. The latest version of Bluetooth does allow for multiple... view full answer...
The connector for the brake controller is located behind the dash just to the left of the glove box. The easiest way to access the plug is to 'drop' the glove box. You'll need to either remove a few screws on the interior of the glove box, or push in on the sides to release it so it'll swing down. Once the glove box is dropped, you'll see the plug next to the glove box on the left. view full answer...
To install the Curt Venturer Trailer Brake Controller # C74VV in your 1999 Ford Expedition you will simply need to use the Curt Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers # C51322.
This adapter will plug into the back of the Venturer and then also to the port under the driver side of the dash in your Expedition. view full answer...
there isn't really a specific capacity or anything when in the various tow modes of SuperChips Flashpaq tuner # SU1845. You are still limited to whatever the truck can tow according to its owners manual. You would also have to follow the programmer's instructions for the correct octane of fuel to use in a given mode.
The tow modes make sure that you have the power in order to tow easier but they cannot increase the capacity of the truck. view full answer...
On your 2006 Ford Expedition, there should already be a factory installed trailer connector. It will either be a 4-Way flat or a 7-Way blade. If your vehicle has a 4-Way flat, you will need to add Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole, # 37185. On this connector, you would plug your 4-Way into the corresponding plug on the adapter. The remaining wires would need to be hardwired. Take a look under your vehicle behind the driver side rear tire and the bumper for the trailer wiring. There will... view full answer...
The plug-in brake controller adapter port on your 2014 Ford Expedition is located behind the dash panel up near the OBDII port where your right knee would be positioned while seated in the driver's seat. You can see this in both the attached photo and install video.

The B&W Biker Bar Motorcycle Tie-Down System for Trailers - Harley-Davidson Touring # BWMC2301 does have the frame bar that almost directly sits over the mounting bolt in the floor bracket. As you can see in the video the locking of that bar can be to the front, up, or the back of your bike so that it doesn't interfere with the base.

Since you haven't purchased the Expedition or the travel trailer yet it would ideal to find one with the tow package included. You will know capacity from the get go vs. adding a hitch and other components after the fact. It's important when looking at your towing capacity to be considering gross trailer weight rating including the weight of contents inside your travel trailer and the weight in your Expedition behind the axle to arrive at a maximum, not just the dry weight of the travel... view full answer...
The front mount trailer hitch # 65025 does fit the 1999 2 wheel drive Ford Expedition. There should be holes on the inboard side of each frame rail. I have included a link to the installation details that shows where the hitch installs on the vehicle. view full answer...
On a 2004 Ford Expedition you might want to check the 12-volt power fuse and relay in the power distribution box under the hood. There should be a 12-volt power relay at position number 5 and a 12-volt power fuse at position number 13.
Also, you might check the fuse panel cover in the cab of the vehicle, under the dash, on the passengers side. It should have a 30-amp relay in position R05 and a 30-amp fuse in position 106.
You will want to verify those positions of the fuses and relays... view full answer...
Yes, you can splice into the reverse light signal behind your tail light housing and then run this to the 7-way trailer connector. This is how the reverse light circuit will be obtained on any vehicle without tow package wiring for a 7-way. According to my research, the reverse light circuit on your Expedition is carried through the green/brown wire but I recommend you check this with a circuit tester. In order to splice into the reverse light wire, I recommend using part # SWC501746-1.... view full answer...
To remove the Buyers Products Magnetic Mounting Plate # 3378895404 and adhesive you can use something like Goo Gone or the 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover. This won't hurt your paint but you'll need to be careful not to scratch the paint when removing the adhesive.

The brake controller you sent in a picture of will only affect the brakes of a trailer you would be towing. It does not affect the brakes of your vehicle in any way if you were to leave the controller installed.
I attached an FAQ article on brake controllers for you to check out as well. view full answer...
Actually the color wire you are looking for to power the 12 volt power circuit of the 7-way adapter part # 37185 is orange in color and will be right near where you found the blue wire for the brake controller. See the picture I attached plus the FAQ link to the right that details how to install a brake controller in an Expedition like yours.
The other solution you have would be to run a 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) through a 40 amp breaker like part # PK54540 to... view full answer...
You are correct. That blue wire carries the output from the brake controller. To convert your 4-pole to a 7-way, use an adapter like part # 37185. The connector on the adapter would connect to your existing 4-pole. The remaining wires would connect as follows; the white wire would ground to the vehicle, the blue wire connects to the blue brake controller output wire and the black wire would be extended to attach to the positive battery terminal using an inline 40 amp circuit breaker like... view full answer...
