Today we're going to take a look at the Americana stainless steel trailer wheel center cap with the plug. This is designed for wheels that have a 5.15 inch pilot hole diameter. This cap will create a nice finished look on your trailer by covering the whole wheel hub with this stainless steel center cap. Again, stainless steel construction is very durable and rust proof. The top plug right here is made of a black plastic. The reason they put the plug on there is to give you easy hub maintenance because on some of your trailers you'll have easy lube axles. What the easy lube axles are is they're the ones that'll have the grease zerk fitting on the end of the spindle on your axle.
It allows you to pump grease into the bearings without having to remove the whole hub from the axle. If your trailer has the easy lube axle this is a nice cap to have because this will be put in there and this will be on your wheel. When you need to lube the axles all you have to do is pop off the center plug, put your grease gun in and you're able to lubricate those easy lube axles. Basically the center cap, you'll just place it on the back of the wheel before installing the tire and wheel on your trailer. It has a little ridge here that'll hold it into the wheel. The center cap will cover that ugly axle hub that'll protrude through your trailer wheel.
It adds a nice finishing touch for a better looking trailer. This is so large it is designed to fit the 16 inch diameter wheels that have a pilot hole diameter of 5.15 inches. The length on this cap or height from the bottom to top is right at 5 inches. What I want to do is zoom out. I happen to pull the 16 inch wheel. This is a 16 inch 8 plug wheel.
The pilot hole diameter, this is the pilot hole right here, the diameter of this opening on this wheel happens to be 5.15 inches. This cap is designed for that. Again, if you'll notice, what you want to do is when you have your tire mounted on this wheel and you'll go to put this up on your trailer, before you put it on the trailer you'll want to put your center cap in so inaudible 00:01:50 back of the wheel. Take your center cap and all you have to do is line it up at the pilot hole, push it all the way through. Once you hit that lip it'll hold it right into place.
If you turn it around you can see there's your center cap that will cover that ugly axle that usually shows through there. If you want to take it off when you take your wheel and tire off the trailer just push it right through there and it'll come right out. That should do it for the review on the Americana stainless steel trailer wheel center cap with the plug designed for wheels with 5.15 inch pilot hole diameter.

These are nice center caps to help freshen up the look of my trailer with the new wheels and tires I purchased. My trailer is sixteen years old and the original center caps were looking a bit worse for wear. They are a great value and sure to make any trailer to look good going down the road. I'm very pleased with my purchase. Considering the quality of the product, pricing, and the great service provided this could only be considered as a very good deal.

As mentioned in another review, these are polished and not matte as seen in picture. Look great and fit right. Note that economy shipping uses USPS for last leg and is therefore pretty slow once it hits USPS control - works fine if not in a hurry.
These things look chromed they shine so bright. I suggest etrailer update the pic. Look great on the trailer and fit through the rims perfect.

The replacement centers fit perfect. After a year and many miles they still look great.
