Custom-fit camper tie-downs permanently mount to your truck's body to distribute the weight of your camper and limit movement in all directions. Low-profile attachment points are discrete and rear anchors remove for a clean look.
Features:
The HappiJac Direct-to-Frame design ensures proper distribution of your camper's weight and helps prevent your camper from moving in all directions for a safe and secure ride. The front tie-down brackets attach to your truck bed's frame, between the bed and the cab, allowing the tie-downs to become integral parts of your truck. Already, this sets them apart from stake-pocket-mounted tie-downs, which secure the entire load of your camper to the tops of your bed rails, forming a top-heavy setup that can create an uncomfortable and unnatural ride.
An I-beam stabilizing bar (sold separately) installs horizontally between the front brackets to help create a truss-like structure that spans the width of your bed, down to both corners of your bumper, where the rearmost tie-downs install. Holding the camper taut at these 4 corners - as opposed to along the sides of your bed, like you'd find with other tie-down systems - helps to reduce any front-to-back shifting of your camper during travel.
In addition to the Direct-to-Frame design, the included centering guide lock assemblies further help to prevent shifting. Each assembly includes a bumper pad and roller, and they attach to each front tie-down bracket.
Attach the assembly to the bracket so that the roller runs along the side of your camper to help guide the camper into place while you're mounting it. Because the centering guide lock assemblies are positioned at the sides of your camper, they too will help hold your camper in place by inhibiting side-to-side movement.
When you're not hauling your camper, you don't have to worry about bulky brackets sticking out of your truck, creating an eyesore or hazard. The front anchor plates remain permanently installed between your cab and truck bed, leaving only the discrete anchor points just behind your cab visible.
The rear tie-downs attach to the corners of your rear bumper. And with a quick quarter-turn, each rear anchor removes from the bracket to create a clean look.
HappiJac components are constructed of sturdy steel for a reliable and stable ride. The powder coated front tie-downs and chrome-plated rear anchors both resist rust and corrosion.

Today, we're going to take a look at the HappiJac custom tie-downs for your truck bed camper. Now this kit is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2007 and newer Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks, the new body style, except for the extended cab models and on a custom fit part like this, always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this part will work for your application. Now, these tie-downs provide attachment points at the front and the rear of your vehicles bed for securing a bed mounted camper. Now, besides this kit, it does require the use of a stabilizing bar, which we do sell separately on our website. And that's part number LC182971.
And it's listed on this product page as a related product. And I happened to pull that part just so you see what it looks like. It's a very long, almost 60 inch long steel bar here. And this is a stabilizing bar. This will go in between these two plates here. So this kit, when you're using this stabilizing bar creates a nice I-beam truss structure that'll literally make your camper an integral part of your truck.
Helps minimize and distribute your campers load. Right here, these direct to frame front brackets will mount directly to your frame for added strength, securing your camper to the truck's base instead of to its bed, which will better distribute the weight to keep your setup from being too top heavy. The HappiJac tie-downs prevent camper movement in all directions up and down, side to side, and front to back. The centering guide right here, and the centering guide locks, these prevent the camper from shifting side to side and back here, these two rear bumper braces will install on the end of your truck's bumper. And these parts are all custom fit for your vehicle. They're all steel construction.
It does include everything laid out here on the table. The two front anchor plates, the two guide plates, the two centering guide blocks, the two L brackets right here, two bumper frame braces, two universal tie-down couplers right here that install. And you can see all the installation, hardware and parts needed to install these. And they even give you a nice set of detailed instructions, that'll describe how to install everything. Now these parts are made in the USA, but that should do it for the review on the HappiJac custom tie-downs for your truck bed camper..
