Keeps Camper Stable and Secure

HappiJac Tie-Down Brackets

The HappiJac Direct-to-Frame design ensures proper distribution of your camper's weight and helps prevent your camper from moving in all directions for a safe and secure ride. The front tie-down brackets attach to your truck bed's frame, between the bed and the cab, allowing the tie-downs to become integral parts of your truck. Already, this sets them apart from stake-pocket-mounted tie-downs, which secure the entire load of your camper to the tops of your bed rails, forming a top-heavy setup that can create an uncomfortable and unnatural ride.

HappiJac Tie-Down Setup

An I-beam stabilizing bar (sold separately) installs horizontally between the front brackets to help create a truss-like structure that spans the width of your bed, down to both corners of your bumper, where the rearmost tie-downs install. Holding the camper taut at these 4 corners - as opposed to along the sides of your bed, like you'd find with other tie-down systems - helps to reduce any front-to-back shifting of your camper during travel.

HappiJac Tie-Down Centering Guides

In addition to the Direct-to-Frame design, the included centering guide lock assemblies further help to prevent shifting. Each assembly includes a bumper pad and roller, and they attach to each front tie-down bracket.

Attach the assembly to the bracket so that the roller runs along the side of your camper to help guide the camper into place while you're mounting it. Because the centering guide lock assemblies are positioned at the sides of your camper, they too will help hold your camper in place by inhibiting side-to-side movement.

Anchor Points are Nearly Undetectable

HappiJac Anchor Points

When you're not hauling your camper, you don't have to worry about bulky brackets sticking out of your truck, creating an eyesore or hazard. The front anchor plates remain permanently installed between your cab and truck bed, leaving only the discrete anchor points just behind your cab visible.

The rear tie-downs attach to the corners of your rear bumper. And with a quick quarter-turn, each rear anchor removes from the bracket to create a clean look.

Sturdy Steel Construction

HappiJac Tie Downs

HappiJac components are constructed of sturdy steel for a reliable and stable ride. The powder coated front tie-downs and chrome-plated rear anchors both resist rust and corrosion.

Video Transcript for Review of HappiJac Camper Tie-Downs - Front and Rear Tie-Downs - LC236326

Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our HappiJac truck mounted camper tie downs. That's right, folks. So you got that in-bed camper and you need to tie it down safely and securely, well, we got the option for you, or one option if you will. The tie downs here will provide attachment points at the front and rear of your vehicle's bed for securing a bed mounted camper. Now you will need some turn buckles, those are sold separately.

Then those will secure the camper to the tie downs themselves. Now this is gonna give you a nice, sturdy, low profile front bracket attachment to the cross number between the cab and the bed, or rather the sturdy low profile front brackets here attached to the cross member between the cab and the bed, securing the capper to the truck's body instead of the bed rails, which is going to better distribute the weight and keep the setup from being too top heavy. Now I'll throw an image up here of the screen of what this kit looks like when it's installed. Keep in mind this is going on the front bed of the vehicle up near the cab. Now we do recommend also purchasing a stabilizing bar that's sold separately.

That stabilizing bar will go inside of these brackets once they're installed on the back cab or up towards the back of the cab rather, in the bed of the truck. Now the rear brackets will install on the ends of the rear bumper and that gives you that attachment point for those. Now everything here folks, is included. There's a whole lot of hardware as you can see. You've got some hard ABS plastic parts.

Same thing with the side ones here, hard plastic. All the steel parts here are very, very durable. They've been powder coated. All the brackets, the front tie-downs, everything. They have this hammer looking finish as I call, like a hammer finish.

And it's like a gray-black mixture, but predominantly gray or gunmetal gray, maybe if that's the color you're used to. But they do have also a chrome plated rear anchor. Those two right here in the center. And those are gonna resist rust and corrosion. Well, all of it is, but having the chrome plates, gonna give it extra durability, and you can see the tie down anchor point here that those turn buckles that are sold separately would attach to and then lock in place. So again, you're gonna get two front anchor plates, two rear brackets and anchors, two bumper braces, all the installation hardware and brackets and everything you need for the install. Everything's made here in the US, has a nice one year warranty from the manufacturer. Again, folks, this is what it would look like when it's installed. Keep in mind it would be on the back of the cab area, in the bed of the truck. So again, folks, don't forget the stabilizer bar, the turn buckles. Again, you're gonna need those to complete the install. This is just the main kit. Pretty much it's gonna fit most trucks out there. I recommend using our fit guide here at etrailer.com just to ensure you're getting the right parts the first time. I'm Steven, thanks for watching and have a great day folks.
