  • Has furnace-brazed aluminum construction and 1-1/4" wide turbulator plates for more efficient cooling
  • Includes complete mounting kit, OEM spec hose with stainless steel clamps, Insta-dapt radiator adapter and hose-barb fittings
  • Sleek design makes this ideal for use in compact cars

Specs:

  • Inlets: 1/2" NPT
  • Fittings: 1/2" NPT x 3/8" hose barb
  • Overall dimensions: 11" wide x 3-7/8" tall x 1-1/4" deep

Note: The Derale Insta-dapt radiator adapter fits most vehicles with 5/16" transmission lines, but not all. In some cases, additional fittings or alteration of the OEM lines or hoses may be required for installation.

One of the more popular cooling systems available, the radiator-style, plate-and-fin heat exchanger provides increased surface area so that fluids can spread out along the finned chambers to cool faster. In addition to the increased surface area, this cooler also features turbulator technology, whereby fluids are agitated continuously, not only to facilitate heat transfer, but also to prevent any undesirable drop in pressure.

This oil cooler has really helped improve the oil pressure in my GEN III Hemi by reducing the oil temperate approximately 20 degrees cooler than before we installed it. Excellent product by Derale and service by etrailer.com.

by:

The cooler was easy to install, the instruction were easy to follow. I did check the oil temp after pulling a 4000 ft grade pulling a camp trailer with an electronic temp probe and there was a 50 deg temp drop thru the cooler.

My original transmission cooler sprung a leak on my 1990 dodge pickup and a direct replacement couldn't be found. Etrailer had a cooler that would fit and do the job. Would highly recommend them to solve your problems and supply what's needed.

  • Do I Need A Transmission Cooler When Towing A 2003 Saturn LW300 With A Motorhome
Using a transmission cooler on your motorhome when towing a vehicle would definitely help limit the wear and tear on the transmission. The Derale Transmission Cooler, # D13611, is designed for compact cars so I would recommend the Derale Transmission Cooler, # D13504, which is designed for larger vehicles. You will want to make sure that you will have room in front of your a/c condenser or radiator to install the heat exchanger. If you are asking about installing the Derale Transmission...

  • Recommend A Transmission Cooler and Fittings For 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis
The item you selected, the Derale Transmission Cooler, part # D13611 will work on your 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis as long as you have room to mount it on your vehicle. The ideal place to mount a transmission cooler for maximum cooling efficiency is behind the grill of your 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis but in front of the radiator. Part # D13611 is a plate and fin cooler and is very effective in cooling the transmission fluid. You will want to measure at the front of your vehicle to make...

  • Transmission Cooler for a 2015 Toyota 4Runner Towing a Pop-up Camper
I have just what you need. The most popular transmission cooler for the 2015 Toyota 4Runner is Derale cooler # D13503. This cooler measures 11 inches wide, 8-3/4 inches tall, and 7/8 inches deep. It will increase the cooling capacity beyond what the factory system can handle alone to help keep your transmission fluid at a safe temperature when you are towing as well as when you are not towing.

  • 2014 Honda Accord V-6 Transmission Cooler Availability
There will be a built in transmission filter on your 2014 Honda Accord. Changing the transmission fluid that often really wouldn't be necessary. If you can find external transmission lines on your 2014 Honda Accord you can install a transmission cooler. For a vehicle like yours that won't be towing anything ever most likely you wouldn't really need one. But they can't hurt. The part # D13611 is a pretty small cooler that would work as long as you find external lines on your transmission....

  • Transmission Cooler for a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder
Some Nissan vehicles like the 2005 Nissan Pathfinder can have problems with the transmission and radiator. If it were me I would look for any signs of leaking fluid at the tranny and radiator. Also, if you notice anything out of the ordinary with the way the vehicle changes gears, I would avoid it. The problem that usually occurs is that the radiator will leak coolant into the transmission cooler cavity. Once you get foreign materials or fluids in the transmission its pretty much done. The...

  • Transmission Cooler Kit for a 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon
I would be happy to help you find a new transmission cooler for your 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon. I recommend the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ NPT Inlets - Class I -Extra Efficient item # D13611. You will want to remove the current one and install this one in place of it as you probably won't have enough room to install both. I have linked a picture of what this cooler looks like installed. Congratulations on the new car. I will be happy to help you find some coolers that will fit your needs. For a transmission cooler, you can go with something small that will not take up a lot of space. I recommend the Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler, # D13611, which measures 11 inches across, 3-7/8 inches tall, and 1-1/4 inches deep. • Transmission Cooler for a 2015 GMC Acadia Towing a 3,600 lb. Trailer
The Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler # D13611 will work to cool down your transmission while towing your 3,600 lb. trailer. But, it would be borderline whether it was sufficient enough or not. You can not cool your transmission too much and for that reason I would recommend going up to the bigger Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler # D13504.

  • Can the Factory Transmission Cooler be Replaced on a 2006 Nissan Xterra
The factory transmission cooler is likely inside of the radiator on your 2006 Nissan Xterra so the only way to replace it would be to replace the radiator. You can probably find an aftermarket one for less money than an OEM replacement from Nissan. I can tell you that what they want to charge, assuming that includes parts AND labor, is not a bad price for that type of repair. Bypassing the factory cooler would be the best option if you don't want to replace the radiator. If you do that...

  • Which Transmission Cooler for 2005 Nissan Frontier
The best place to install a transmission cooler is directly behind the grille, in front of the radiator and A/C condenser. We recommend choosing the largest cooler that will fit in the space available, so you will need to measure to see how much room you have. You cannot over cool a transmission. The # D13503, which measures 11x8-3/4x7/8 inches is what I would recommend, assuming that there is enough room behind the grille. You might need to remove the grill and front bumper cover in...

To use a brake controller, you will need to adapt your current 4-way into a 7-way using the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. The # ETBC7 kit will provide you with everything that you need to adapt the 4-way into a functioning 7-way to use a brake controller. The brake controller that I recommend...

If you're not planning on towing frequently at or near its 4500 lb capacity or in mountainous areas, the Derale # D13611 you'd looked at would be an excellent choice. The cooler is a plate fit design, which offers extremely high efficiency in a small package that won't take up much room on the front of your radiator. • Can Transmission Cooler be Installed on a Vehicle with Sealed Transmission
Sealed transmissions make installing a transmission cooler a bit more interesting since there isn't an easy way to add or check fluid. There may not be a dipstick on your transmission, but there is drain and fill plug. You are going to have to use a lube pump to get the proper amount of fluid in the vehicle so honestly your best option is going to be to have a transmission shop do the install since they will have the equipment needed. • Recommendation For Transmission Cooler on a 2007 Jeep Liberty 3.7L Engine
On a transmission cooler there are three basic types of heat exchangers. The most efficient is the stacked plate. The next one is the plate and fin, which is very efficient. Then, the tube and fin which is moderately efficient. It will also matter where the heat exchanger is installed. The best spot for the greatest efficiency is between your vehicles grille and the AC condenser core on your 2007 Jeep Liberty. The next best spot is between the AC condenser and the radiator. • Recommended Transmission Cooler for 2006 Saturn Vue 4WD
Although the Derale # D13611 transmission cooler would work well with your Saturn Vue, we typically recommend using the largest cooler that will fit behind the grille of your vehicle. The ideal mounting location is directly behind the grill, in front of the radiator and A/C condenser. Because a transmission cooler allows airflow through it, there is not a worry that it will block or hinder the operation of the radiator or condenser behind it. • Which Transmission Cooler is Recommended for a 2005 Honda Pilot
Mounting a trans cooler in front of everything else, radiator and AC condenser, will yield the most cooling ability. The size of the heat exchanger is the factor that weighs most heavily on the cooling ability followed by location and construction/design. The best way to select a cooler is by considering the load you will be towing and the area you will be towing in. The cooler needed to aid in towing a single jet ski in a cool or moderate climate would not be nearly as big as the cooler...

The general rule is that transmission fluid cannot be cooled too much, so using the largest cooler that will fit is a good idea, especially if towing. The only reason not to add the largest cooler possible, would be if you live in very cold climates where temperatures are below 0 degrees often...

According to the owner's manual for the 2006 Buick Lucerne it has a gross trailer weight capacity of 1,000 pounds maximum. It does not say that a transmission cooler is required. However, a transmission cooler is always a good idea, especially when towing, to keep the fluid cooler so the transmission is less likely to get damaged or wear out any faster than normal.
