Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class IV - 2" - C26HR

Average Customer Rating:  4.4 out of 5 stars   (31 Customer Reviews)

This fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant.

by:

Was able to install with 1 person, used floor jack to support. Full size OEM spare fits for 18" tires - but tight fit - cant have a larger spare. less then 5 stars as the fit is a little short - should be 1/4" wider. Hitch does not meet metal to metal on the lower brackets, even with the spacers installed. The spacers are loose behind it because of the short length.

Trailer is always good. Reasonable price, fast delivery. That's why I keep coming back

by:

Couldn’t be happier.

by:
2020 FordF-150

Nice product; handles tongue weight’s that exceed the factory receiver. Super straight forward, easy install.

by:

I thought this would be a replacement of the stock receiver but it is designed to mount underneath the stock receiver which looks terrible and would most certainly reduce the departure angle for off-road use. I didn't install it and had to take a big loss selling it on FB because I waited too long to return it to E-trailer. A better option if your stock receiver is worn out is to buy an aftermarket bumper and a new receiver that will mount in the same place as the stock receiver. Live and learn.

by:

Great product, price, shipping and customer service!

by:

Fast service, went in fast and easy.

by:

The hitch is definitely heavy duty (also heavy) but it hangs about 6" down below the bumper. That would not be a problem except for dragging in rough terrain. The paper instructions were not too good but the video from etrailer cleared it all up.

by:

Arived on time and easy installation. All parts fit with mo adjustments necessary

by:

Product as described. Just like other reviews have said, my box came destroyed too. Saving grace was the hardware was taped very well to the hitch. Good quality.

by:
2021 FordF-150

Direction are not real clear. Maybe redo them. If possible make the bolts just a tad longer. Other than that great product.

by:

I have only been able to use it once for a hour and 45 minute drive and it was superb.

by:

Very easy to install! Solid built hitch and American made!!

by:

Great hitch, great price, fast service, the printed directions could have been clearer but I figured it out.

  • What Hitch Can I Use on My 2018 Ford F-150 to Upgrade a Factory Hitch?
While we do have a hitch option for your 2018 Ford F-150, you won't be able to use the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V - 2" # DT35MR. This is because the Draw-Tite is designed for truck frames styles of F-150s that did not come with a factory hitch. After removing the factory hitch on your truck, the frame style/design is not compatible with the # DT35MR. However, for a great alternative, I suggest the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class...

  • Recommended Highest Capacity Hitch for a 2022 Ford F-150
There's two options for high capacities hitches for your 2022 Ford F-150 Tremor. Which one you need will depend on whether or not your truck currently has a hitch installed. I have listed both options below along with their weight capacities: With a Factory Hitch - Curt Trailer Hitch item # C26HR - 10,000 lbs towing capacity, 1,000 lbs maximum tongue weight. These capacities can be increased to 12,000 lbs and 1,200 lbs when used with a weight distribution system. Without a Factory Hitch...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch For A 2018 Ford F-150 With A Factory Hitch
As the Draw-Tite # DT35MR Class V hitch is designed to fit a 2018 Ford F-150 that did not come with a factory hitch, I will have to steer you in a different direction. With that said, the Curt Class IV Hitch # C26HR will fit trucks that came with the factory hitch and will be the better option for you. This will not affect the spare tire stored under your bed, but you are correct in that lowering it is needed for the install. From looking at the factory hitch on your truck, I don't think...

  • High Capacity Trailer Hitch for 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor
The Curt hitch # C26HR is a great higher capacity trailer hitch for your 2018 Ford F-150 Raptor as it is rated for up to 10,000 lb trailer weight. This fits if you have the factory hitch which it sounds like you have. If you instead didn't have the factory hitch you would want the part # C14017 which has same weight capacity.

  • Recommended Hitch, Wiring Harness, and Brake Controller for a 2020 Ford F-150
To add a hitch to your 2020 Ford F-150 you will want to use the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C14017. This hitch is custom fit and bolts directly to your Ford with included hardware. The Curt item # C14017 has a 2" receiver and a maximum gross trailer weight of 10,000 lbs that increases to 12,000 lbs when used with a weight distribution system. As you can see in the provided photo, the Curt # C26HR Class IV trailer hitch receiver is well concealed behind the truck's bumper. The only visible portion of the hitch is the receiver tube and the bracket that would receive the hooks on the trailer safety chains. The rest of the hitch will be hidden behind the rear bumper. If you need to connect to a trailer that has a 7-way but does not have or need brake signal, 12V power, or a reverse signal then you can the # 337TC1474P connector. It plugs into your existing 4-way and then you can tape the other wires up out of the way. I have included a video of this being installed with another kit on an SUV and at the very end of the video you can see this 7-way being installed. As long as your 2021 Ford F-150 with 6-1/2 foot bed does not include the factory hitch, which your picture shows that you do not, you are good to go with the American made Curt Class IV # C26HR. This will bolt directly to you frame and will offer you 10,000 pounds towing and 1,000 pounds of tongue weight capacity. This jumps to 12,000 pounds and 1,200 pounds respectively when weight distribution is used. However, I do recommend double checking the weight capacity in your owner's manual...

Just the hitch opening of the Curt hitch part # C26HR will hang below the rear bumper of your 2020 Ford F-150 so while it's visible it doesn't stand out. It looks very standard on the back of your truck as most similar trucks have a hitch with roughly the same visibility. I attached a couple pictures that show how visible it is as well.
