Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Let's take a look together at this Kenda Karrier ST20575R14 load range C radial trailer tire with this 14-inch steel camo mod wheel with a 5 on 4.5-inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is going to be great for your boat trailers, your stock trailers, your utility trailers and campers. And especially with this camouflage design, if you have a boat trailer that you use for fishing or if you have a trailer that you use specifically for hunting and maybe those trailers are equipped with camouflage and you're looking for a tire and wheel assembly that's going to match that, this is going to be a great item to consider instead of having maybe wheels that are gonna clash with that camouflage finish on your trailers. This is really going to blend well with that camouflage design. Now, this special trailer tire has sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads.
It is created specifically for trailers and not intended for use on other vehicles. And as you know, radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway and radial tires are constructed with double steel belts and full nylon plys that combine for superior function and long life. This computer-generated tread design and premium rubber compound materials are gonna give you traction in wet or dry conditions. And as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together, and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST20575R14. The section width is 8.1 inches and the outer diameter when inflated is 26.3 inches.
This is a load range C tire, meaning it has a six-ply rating. The maximum load is 1,925 pounds at 60 PSI. And this has a speed rating of M, indicating a maximum speed of 81 miles per hour. Now, this modular designed steel wheel with this camouflage pattern by Dexstar is sturdy and corrosion-resistant. This wheel has actually been dipped in this camouflage strata pattern finish over an eco primer.
So this is going to hold up really well for you. And the dimensions of this wheel measuring bead seat to bead seat is 14 inches in diameter and 5.5 inches wide. And as I mentioned, our bolt pattern is 5 on 4.5 inches. The old rims were very rusty and I only found out when I went to install this new Kenda tire/rim combo that the old rims were bent/warped and difficult to remove from center bore. This new Kenda tire and rim combo makes my trailer look so much better! The rubber on these tires is very grippy, which I really like! My old, dry-rotted tires felt like plastic to the touch with no grip whatsoever. I used the etrailer website to learn how to properly measure the spacing between lugs to ensure I buy the right size. Shipping came super quick and all in one box. Tires were filled to the correct psi. I could not have been happier! I've since replaced the sides of the trailer with pressure treated wood, added 2 strips of 2"x 2"x6', 1/4" thick angle iron to the underside of the 2x8x8 plank flooring and used it to haul loam and crushed rock. All went super smooth and feels great to be able to use my utility trailer again!

Used them on a boat trailer for the first time today and it didn’t last 10 miles and blew one of the tires. The rim was shot as soon as o noticed. Have had them in my trailer stored until now. Maybe had them 2 months. Would not recommend these tires if they are going to blow like this. Glad the pieces of tire also runnier my boats paint! Great time! Thanks for selling trash tire and rim packages! Out $XXX and stranded on the side of the road……..
Great tires for my 19’ Tahoe , I installed these tires when I picked up my boat in Gettysburg Pa and trailered it all the way to South Jersey without any issues . I used the trailer every other weekend to the Jersey shore and at this time have been great !! The one thing I do is remove the new tires during winter storage and place the old rims and tires on the trailer for storage in the winter weather to help with the life of these new ones !

Ordered these as a replacement for my boat trailer tires. My tires were starting to dry rot and the galvanized wheels were turning. These tires are great so far! Load range d so I feel better than I did with the load range c that I had. I hope to get several years of service out of these
So far I like the tires and rims. They are replacing the original tires and rims. The old rims were silver and the paint was flaking off. Hopefully these rims won't do the same. I have not towed with the tires yet so not sure how they perform.

This is less about the product and more about the warehouse that picks the order. I ordered two 15x6 with 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern, I got one with 5 on 4.5 and one with 6 on 5 with a 3.5 pilot hole. It's pretty obvious the two were not the same.
Everything arrived on time and as expected. This was perfect replacement wheels and rims and was nice to have come w/tires pre-mounted. The added bonus to these wheels/tires was the better ride level to my trailer, as the 5th wheel trailer ride height was raised on my trailer do to wheel profile when hooked up to my F250 providing a much more level ride height and weight distribution on my axles. I needed tires for my 600LB popup camper. I wanted steel belts in tire because I've had better luck with them holding up better over the years. These tire look and fit good. So time will tell how they hold up.

Ordered a set of five for the tandem axle upgrade project. These are a good product, arriving in a good shipping box that had opposing handles to 'pour' the tire and wheel out easily. I am pleased to be able to order these assembled, aired up and ready to bolt onto the axles.
I replaced my old 185/80/13 bias ply tires and wheels with this larger radial tire set. It rolls over bumps better, and highway ride is smoother and getting slightly better MPG. Took them to a tire shop to get them balanced for the best ride. Would definitely buy the same thing again.
Great! Bought three for my single axle travel trailer (one for spare). They bolt right on. Put 10K on them last year and about to order another pair of wheels and tires. Will rotate one of the new ones and run last year's spare this. Next year, I will just buy tires and a tire changer to mount them in rotation on the wheels I already have.
Super quick shipping. Ordered on a Saturday they arrived on Tuesday. Installed on my utility trailer. Traveled approximately 180 miles with a quad in the trailer. Trailer towed great, very smooth compared to the old tires. Trailer towed smooth with nothing in it, old tires had a bounce.
We bought a Popup camper trailer and I have never towed anything before. I had to do an alarming amount of learning about different tires and brands, and let me tell you how hard it is not to find a china bomb on a 12' rim for something your family will be riding in or towing.
My experience with buying from etrailer was superb. I was notified when Items would be in stock. The original tires I had selected were on backorder for 8 months, so these were my second choice. They were supposed to be on back order for a couple weeks, but came in stock and arrived at my house almost a full week before promised.
I have mounted the tires but haven't road tested them yet. I am very excited, to try them out. I had some old LR C tires that were not M rated, I wanted to get a little extra wiggle room on my trailer, but have no plans on pushing the envelope on them. I am already much happier with the footprint of these over the previous trailer tires, and I am very sure they will ride smooth.
Theses were ordered in December of 2021 and the manufacture code was from august of 2021, so they are still fresh from the factory. I included a side by side of my old tire and the new one. I also ordered parts to do an “axle flip” because dexter doesn’t make a kit for the 1 ¾ inch axle. etrailer already had the parts on their FAQ page listed that you could order from them and it was half the price of a dexter kit. I just have to buy a case of Dr. Pepper for my nephew to weld the new spring seat on the axle for me.
