The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.Hitch is an easy fit less than hour... in my model had to take other steps but easy enough.
The instruction said to cut 3.5×3.5 inches but 3.25×1.5 inches is enough (pic attached)... after the installation I think you can install the fascia without cutting using a professional lifting platform to rotate the fascia to accomadate the hitch through the opening
Very difficult to install, if someone does not have a lot of tools go to a professional. Don't try to do it yourself
Installed the today. Had a little trouble getting the unit into the frame, had to bend the fascia that was in place but was able to push it in with a little persuasion. (removed the bottom fascia as instructed first). Also had trouble with the inner bolt placement, had to shake the unit a little back and forth to get the fourth bolt in. Suggest to leave the bolts and nuts loose to be able to move unit. Do not need to cut the fascia to put back on. I cut a 3 1/2 inch wide by 1 1/2 at first to slip the fascia on. After in place noticed I did not need to cut out that small piece. Unit in place, looks great after 2 hours of working it. Glad that there was a unit for my Audi. Wife is happy now that we can slide in the bike rack.
This Hitch is exactly as described and works well for use with a Yakima 4 bike carrier

The hitch has been a pretty good upgrade, I use it every weekends to load my bikes and go MTB.
