Trailer Hitch to Carry a Motorcyle Carrier with Total Tongue Weight of 450 lbs for a 2015 Audi Q3

I need a hitch to put on my motorbike carrier max. 450lbs all together, with bike on my Audi Q3 2015. I was looking at 2015 Audi Q3 Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III - 2, because there is nothing written for stabilazing straps. Do I need them if I install this and put 450lbs on it? Also what modifications do I have to make at my car to put this hitch on? Modifications that are permanent?

The Draw-Tite Max Frame Trailer Hitch, # 75218, is the confirmed fit hitch for your 2015 Audi Q3. The hitch does have a tongue weight rating of 450 lbs and you will not need to use a stabilization strap on the Draw-Tite product.

The only permanent modification you will do to your Audi Q3 is when installing the hitch you will need to trim 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 inch hole in the bumper fascia so the receiver tube will be accessible.

I check the owner's manual for the 2015 Q3 and it states that your vehicle has a maximum tongue weight of 220 lbs. Even though the hitch has a tongue weight rating of 450 lbs, when determining towing capacity you must go by the lowest rated component. In your case, your Audi's 220 lbs tongue weight is the max weight you can have on the hitch of your vehicle. The hitch will not increase your tongue weight rating. With that being said, your application of a motorcycle and carrier will be too much weight for your vehicle to handle.
