Today, we're going to be taking a look at part number BWHB94007. This is the B and W 2-5/16-inch Hitch Ball. The hitch ball is is going to provide a good connection point for your trailer's coupler. This one is going to feature the built-in rise. That's going to let you easily match the ball to your trailer height. The trailer hitch ball is going to sit an extra inch above the ball mount platform.
This unit is going to feature fine threads, we're going to have 12 threads per inch. That's going to provide a nice tight strong grip. The unit's made from a heat treated steel. It's very strong and very durable. It's got the nice raw finish on it.
With this part number, you're going to get the actual hitch ball, you're going to get your lock washer, and you're going to get the nut. The product is made in the USA. Again, the ball diameter is going to measure 2-5/16 inch. It's going to offer a weight capacity of 30,000 pounds. The shank diameter, that's going to give us a measurement of 1-3/8 inch. Shank length from the bottom of that rise to the end of the threaded portion is going to measure 2-3/4 inch.
Now, whenever you're going to install this on your ball mount, the platform thickness must be at least 3/8-inch thick. The rise measuring from this point here to this point here, that's going to give us a measurement of 1 inch. Overall length is going to measure about 6-3/4 inch, so from the top of the ball to the bottom of the rise, that's going to give us a measurement of 4 inches. Really simple installation. You drop this through your ball hole, then on the underside of the mount place on your lock washer, followed by the nut and this is going to need to be torqued to the specifications listed by the manufacturer. That's going to be included on a informational sheet that comes with this product.
Once you get that on there somebody simply just torque it down and the installation is complete and you're ready to make your connection and get on your way. That's going to do it for today's review of part number BWHB94007.

Bought for my old pickup to haul my new gooseneck horsetrailer. It's rated with a much higher towing capacity than what my trailer needs, but I like the security of knowing that. Product is exactly like the photo and precisely the right size.

The ball came earlier than expected which was awesome. My husband put it on his truck as soon as he got it out of the post office. We haven't pulled anything with it yet but are excited to take a weekend trip with our side by side soon. It is definitely sturdy enough to pull our tractor from one farm to the other when mowing season comes back in. Thank you for a high quality part.

Product is still working well for me. Ive noticed a bit of superficial rust, I live in a very wet climate but I keep it slathered in grease and hooked up almost 247 so its not a big deal.
