What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this Shocker Hitch Adjustable Ball Mount. It's gonna fit a 1 1/2-inch hitch. It's got a 2 5/16-inch ball. Let's check it out. It's gonna be a great option if you have multiple trailers and you don't want to haul two different ball mounts in the back of your truck.

It takes up a lot of space. This one's gonna be really easy to adjust, so you're gonna have like a 7 1/2 inch drop. So, I pull the clips and the pins. (pin clattering) We're gonna move the accessory all the way down here, matching up the holes, and that's gonna give you that 7 1/2 inch drop. So, what that's gonna do is, once you put the pins back in there, (pin clattering) if you have trucks and trailers that are different heights, you can easily adjust this, this way.

That way, it rides even when you're going down the road. Right here's gonna be the minimum drop, so it's gonna be 3 1/2 inches of drop that's right here where the ball is, so that's gonna be your degrees. You can adjust this for the different trailers and truck combination. It's gonna come with a 2 5/16-inch ball. It's already gonna be attached to the accessory.

If you open yours up and it's not attached to the accessory, you are gonna have to torque that down to the specified ratings. It's gonna have a gross trailer weight rating of 12,000 pounds. It's also gonna have a tongue weight rating of 1,200 pounds. As far as what it's made out of, the assembly's gonna be made out of a cold rolled steel with a black powder coat finish on it. You're gonna have a zinc-plated ball that's chrome, here, to attach to your trailer.

One thing I did wanna point out is it does not come with a hitch pin. I would suggest looking on our website. InfiniteRule offers a locking hitch pin, so you get that with the 5/8 of an inch diameter that's gonna fit in the hitch. You can lock the assembly of the hitch and if you're gonna grab two other ones, you can also lock the accessory in place so that nobody can mess with it when you're not around. Overall, I do like how this adjustable ball mount worked. It's really easy to move this up and down to adjust to different truck and trailer heights. It's gonna be, that's what it's for. I'd rather have one than two different ball mounts in the back of the truck taking up a bunch of space. Now, if you want a little bit more out of it you can look at the Gen-Y Phantom. They make one that's a stacked receiver look, so it's a little more heavy-duty looking and they also have one that folds up underneath the truck, so if you're about running in this with your shins or just having to stick it out all the time if you're gonna leave on the hitch, that is an option. And along with that option, there's gonna be the BMW tow and stow that goes in the line, so that accessory's never removed from the track. So if you just don't wanna worry about it coming out of there, they'll stay and go up and down along the track. That one also folds up underneath the truck if you're worried about running into it when you're walking back here. Otherwise though, I think this one's gonna work great.
