Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 45 foot long Stick On Rubber Medium V Profile Seal for RV and trailer doors. Now, this is a Medium V profile rubber seal. It's used to weatherproof the doors the compartment doors and hatches on your RV or trailer. Can also be used on storage compartments. I want to zoom in pretty close here just to show you the unique design of this triangle or V-shaped weather strip will compress easily together.
Offering a nice leak-proof seal. The sponge rubber is ideal for creating a nice tight seal that won't lose its shape. And the seal itself uses a closed cell core surrounded by this solid skin surface for greater weather and wear resistance. Also, one of the unique features on this seal if I can show you the cutaway here. If you look the seal features these skirted peel and stick recess adhesive design.
Basically what happens is if you notice the edges of the seal comes down around the adhesive tape that gives you a nice clean finish look when it's applied, showing no unsightly gaps. Improves the protection for the exposed sides of the adhesive tape ensuring the long-lasting surface grip and eliminates any debris and moisture from collecting behind the edge of the seal. Now, this is a peel and stick installation. Has the pre-applied 3M adhesive backing. Basically you just simply peel off the backing paper, apply the seal.
Now surface preparation is recommended to remove any old adhesive. And if you need to trim this you can use scissors to trim the seal. Dimensions on this again, the length is 45 feet. The width which would be measured this way is 11/16th of an inch. The height top to bottom is 3/4 of an inch tall.
