Today we're going to be taking a look at the bracket assembly for polar economy side door locks. This unit is made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a nice, smooth hinge design. It allows for a nice, smooth operation. The backing piece, it has 2 mount holes on it. That's going to get mounted to the trailer.
Hardware is not included. Then the curved portion is going to get welded to the pipe on the door lock. This is designed for 1-inch diameter pipes. A few measurements to go over with your real quick. Taking a measurement of the distance between the mount hole center on center, that's going to be 3 1/4 inches.
Those mount holes are going to give us a diameter of 3/8 of an inch. The back plate is going to have an overall length measurement of 4 1/2 inches. Then the distance from the back of the hinge to the outermost point of the unit, that's going to give a measurement of 4 1/8 inches. A possible solution for you would be to use the Bracket Assembly for Polar Economy Side Door Lock part # PLR3057-100 which would allow you to add your current length bar and handle to add to these and restore your factory set up. Since these are designed to hold the door shut it really doesn't matter if it is 65" or 55" as long as it holds the door shut. I do understand however...
