Today we're going to be taking a look at the Paneloc Left Hand Spring Latch. Spring latches are reliable and primarily used on hinged doors and panels. The latch offers smooth trouble-free action combined with easy access and secure closure. The unit is made from a steel construction and features a zinc coating to keep it protected from rust and corrosion. The latch is going to feature a C-ring. I know it's hard to see but it's at the end of the spring.
That C-ring acts as a positive stop retainer, which prevents over-travel or snagging. The C-ring also provides secure pin retention and eliminates jamming. Now the tempered spring is properly tensioned to provide smooth positive pin release and return. You'll notice that the body of the unit is a hinge. It has a two mount hole design. That body measures 1-3/8" side to side.
Then from bottom to top measures about 7/8" The pin diameter on this unit is 0.156. That's going to be between 1/8" and 3/16". The extension, that's how far the pin extends from the body, is a 1/4". Overall length from end of pin to end of pin is about 2". Your mount holes on the unit are separated on center by 1" and have a diameter of 1/8".
Mounting hardware is not included so that will need to be provided separately. That's going to do it for today's look at the Paneloc Left-Hand Spring Latch.
