Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we take a look at the 72 inch long, one and a half inch wide steel piano hinge. Now this hinge will provide a nice sturdy continuous support along the length of your cabinet, your door, or your panel. These are great for oversized doors, trailer doors and entrance doors. What's nice about 'em is they'll provide more support than your multiple small hinges. Nice continuous design on 'em reduces stress on the hinge when it's used with heavier doors, and the hinge does rotate 270 degrees.
Just wanna zoom in and show you what we're talking about. So you can see if we rotate it back, it'll go about 90 degrees that way. And then it'll go 180 degrees fully the other way towards closed. So a total of 270 degree rotation for nice full opening and closing motion. This is a durable steel construction.
Uses an unplated no finish on it. And this is a weld on or bolt on installation. Now, if you do bolt it on it will require drilling holes into the hinge, and this part is made in the USA. Few specs on this, we're gonna first measure the overall length. If we go from one end, all the way to the other end is right at 72 inches or six feet total length.
The width on it, and the width will be measured with it in the open position like this, which is the widest part. Again we'll zoom in to get a better look at it. So the width of it is gonna be right at, one and a half inches wide. And a knuckle length, each one of these portions here is a knuckle. So the length of those knuckles.
We put a ruler on it, it's gonna be right at half an inch. And then the pin that goes through the hinge, the diameter on that pin is gonna be one eighth of an inch. But again, you can see it close that way, open up all the way that way. But that should do it for the review on this 72 inch long, by one and a half inch wide steel piano hinge..

Very impressed with the quality this hinge. I had to repair my FlipBak tonneau cover. This hinge will provide superior security over the original piece of rubber that those tonneau covers use as a hinge.

3 stars, due to packaging. Ordered 3 inch by 72 inch piano hinge. Packaging tube arrived without hinge, cap on end was missing.Went to post office to see if they seen it and they did. Brought it home and is in working condition.

used cobalt drill bit drilled 4 holes in hinge on corners with paper to keep door space for future paint ,drilled holes in hinge only just touch wood ,undid 4 screws ,recessed wood with bur thing ,punched stainless hinge into wood, screwed in screws near flush ,very clean super price and strong ,thank you

Very well constructed as we needed a heavy duty weld on hinge and this was the only hinge in the market to meet our application.

Was very surprised with the quality of the hinge for the price. etrailer went above and beyond with packaging and shipping.
